after putting the HOSTS file in place (blocking csmg.lgmobile.com) this application says I need to connect my PC to the internet and press continue. You dont state in your instructions what to hit. "Continue" keeps popping up the same window and cancel kicks me out of the install. Suggestions?

Step 4 says SOFTWARE FOLDER (which doesnt work) but the one in the FLASHING folder works. you may want to update your instructions.
I can verify that neither cancelling or ignoring the popup about connecting to check for updates works. When I reach the flashing portion, it gives me an error stating that the B2CAppSetup.exe file needs to be installed. Apparently, if it does not update, it will not install. I'm using Windows 7. Any ideas to fix this?

Hmmm, here's what I did... I ran through the process until I got the error about B2CAppSetup not being installed. I clicked ok, went back and installed it again and this time it came up with the update/internet connection error and the software installed (the update/internet connection error stayed up). I ran through the B2CAppSetup program until it errored out, not being able to connect. I then closed it and continued with the update process as your guide states. Everything seemed ok, I did get a boot loop, but I wiped the data and everything seems ok. One question though... I have lost cwm and have the stock recovery. Is this normal?

Hmmmm... seem to have lost root also...
I have rooted phone and need to flash stock ROM to send it in for warranty. Can you repost the link "Thrill stock Rom zip" I think the link no longer avail. I can't flash it to stock. PLease I can only flash thru recovery. Someone....
Actually just flashed this 5 different ways with same result. Either half characters or no font at all on most windows. Also no sound at all. Stumped.
Edit 1:Ah, crap...any rom I try now yields missing characters in dialog boxes and in menus such as settings.
Edit 2: whew! thrill seeker 2.1 seems to work.
Dark I'm going to get a computer borrowed from a friend cause i have a mac i have "LG_Flash_Package.7z" LGUnitedMobileDriver_S4981MAN36AP22_ML_WHQL_Ver_3.6"
and "V20P_00.kdz" all downloaded and saved on a sd card does any of this involve using the internet?
so the flash procces is the same ? how long does it take? and after this is done does it mean I'm on the official GB for lg thrill? like its not a rom?
