I received my second tablet yesterday, and guess I must be jinxed as this one is defective too...

The first one had a small bubble in the screen, right in the centre, that shows as a dark spot on a light background & a white spot on a dark background. So, I got in touch with Amazon.de who agreed to replace it without argument. I had to wait a couple of weeks for them to get more stock, so only just received the replacement yesterday. Unfortunately this one is defective too - it has a very yellow tint to the screen, and also the wifi won't reconnect after I power the tablet off and back on. I have to drop the network, and set it up again from scratch.

I still have the original tablet as Amazon told me that I don't have to send it back until I received the replacement, and I'm toying with the idea of just keeping this one and returning the second one. The original tablet works perfectly in every way; the small bubble in the glass is quite small, and only noticeable if you look for it but I'm worried that it could be a potential weak spot, and mean that the screen is more likely to crack/break if it's dropped or hit.

Buying from Amazon.de to import to me here in the UK has saved me a bit of money, but it's a hassle having to return defective items to Germany. Should I send them both back and hold out for a perfect replacement? Opinions, please...

Ehh..how do I say this? I'm going to give it more time. I'm not sure if my WiFi internet is acting funky but I noticed my infinity wasn't responding thus morning when I was looking up the weather. Just packets being sent.

Screen is beautiful but I do notice its not perfectly even around the casing (not even close). WiFi connection and distance is great so far. Unfortunately I cannot use this BT mouse without WiFi dropping from 8Mbps to 0.3Mbps at best. Sucks for my presentations over hdmi.

Sound is clearer but not louder. I will be looking into this. That is disappointing considering I still have the stickers on it saying sonicmaster. Wish they could have increased that wattage output with better speakers. Maybe 2W?

As beautiful as my screen is , my complaint about IPS+ is that coming from a prime there were no issues. With IPS+ on I notice that anywhere between 0-50% increase there is very little change. After around 50-60% there is a dramatic increased in contrast , but on the lower levels it isn't good. I have acclimated to the IPS+ on all that time but at 0% like my old prime. Which brings me to my next point.

Battery - what can I say ? It's not the prime. Not even close to iPad2 or iPad3. But I will have to wait until a few more weeks. I didn't follow instructions and leave it charging for 8 hours because as soon as I plugged it in it turned on. Would someone explain to me why this is necessary in 2012? The screen does eat away at battery. I'm seeing about 5-6 hours at ips 0-30% until it shuts off. We shouldn't need a dock to extend just for 10hours. But it also seems to me the dock isn't properly charging the pad ? Or else isn't being reported right. I remember when ever I went into settings about status with the prime I would see under battery status with dock plugged in , charging. I don't see it anymore or the animation the dock is charging the tab. Also , it seems once my inifiunity hits 75-80% dock kicks in but then they both drop , not just the dock battery(as its suppose to be charming infinity)

Browsing is a little slow. Can't put my finger on it. Opera sucks because as much as I like the screen the text is so small now and I have no idea how to change it without double tapping. If anyone can help out or suggest something I'd be appreciative.

All in all we will see. I need a usable computer as I no longer have one and figured this would meet birth worlds. Time will tell or else I will take it back. I don't want to unlock and screw someone else over (or myself) if this breaks. I don't like unlocking and voiding warranty

I remember when I got my prime. A lot of the software issues you guys are speaking of were also issues on the prime. They were fixed with OTAs. Asus was quick to fix the issues. When I say quick, I mean within 2 months compared to other manufacturers, that is quick. Jelly Bean will make this tablet shine.

Just recieved my replacement Infinity. Everything works perfect this time (bluetooth/wifi/netflix issue is gone, no lag, no click, earphones work great, updated out the box) except the bottom left screen is not seated right. I can stick my finger nail in it. So Im gonna send it back again to exchange it for another one. All I can say is F@@@@@@ck.

My C6OKAS is pretty solid. So far only thing I'm worried about is the amount of heat this thing is putting out. Currently at 108.9 °f!!! That's after playing MC3 for 10mins and browsing XDA on balnced mode and 50% brightness. I still have about 24 days for an exchange so ill hold on to it unless it becomes to unbearable to hold!

so far, so good!

Screen is fine - minimal bleed - no bugginess that others have had (fingers crossed!)

Definitely has helped me "travel lighter" as I can get a decent amount of stuff done on it without requiring my powerful laptop (to run VMs, etc.)
