This is odd. Wireless hotspot (through settings on ATT model) works even though I have a grandfathered unlimited data that does not include tethering. Did ATT accidentally leave this feature in settings thinking customers would only go through their hotspot app?
Will ATT "detect" this and try to charge me or move me to a different plan?
That is strange, but I'm not risking my plan on it, especially with the carrier iq issue we currently have. Be careful, I would hate to see you lose it.

Isn't there a modification to some sqlite database that disables ATT's ability to detect tethering/hotspots? I've seen reference to it in the Verizon tethering thread, but cannot (yet) find detailed instructions.
