[Q] A method to defrage your Android phone
I have an Android phone but I felt it got slower and slower than it is used to be after couple months. Maybe the fragmentation of the file system is an issue but I know it is harmful to defrag a NAND-based file system due to wearing out issue; however, I proposed a method to defrag my Android phone and I would like to hear about the feedback from you guys.
1. First, use CWM to backup your whole system.
2. Format your /data partition, maybe you can ignore /system since it is a read-only mount point and fragmentation is seldom. Formatting is necessary to rebuild the file system, not deleting or overwriting only.
3. Restore your backup file to the system via CWM.
4. Reboot your device.
Is it a good way to defrag your system, especially /data partition?
