[Q] How do I prepare my phone to be sent back for warranty?
I have a Galaxy S4 SGH-I337 (AT&T) and I just got a new phone through a warranty exchange. I have to send in my old phone within the next 9 days and I need to remove all traces of it being rooted so they won't void my warranty.
My phone is running the MF3 updated firmware/boot loader which has been a pain in my rear the past week.
In the About device section, the Secure boot status type is showing Samsung, and the boot logo is the Samsung Galaxy S4 (not the unlocked padlock and UNLOCKED text). Will this be good enough or do I need to run an app like Triangle Away? I have never flashed a custom firmware, just rooted and updated once using an OTA update.
I also can not get my phone to do a factory restore. When I do a Factory data reset, do all confirmations, my phone just reboots into Download mode with "could not do normal boot' at the very top. I also get the same screen if I try and boot into safe mode or boot into recovery mode.
