Probably not rom related but just posting to get some answers; what does it mean when the WiFi and signal bar goes grey? It's been bouncing between blue and grey for a while and now stuck on grey. What does that mean? This on the latest weekly...

Also, on the weekly build, I've been getting lots of "asking for permission" for Google app/access, why is that?

Just wondering... I'll be doing a good fresh clean wipe and install tomorrow morning and see if I still have these issues.

I searched and read through a number of posts, but couldn't get a solid understanding... is the flicker / garbled screen issue related to the ROM or the kernel? Is the only work-around to disable HW overlays at the moment? What about flashing a different kernel?

From what I understand, the gray means that no data is being transferred... it could be that the IP is still being assigned, or there is no connectivity with the selected network.

Not seeing that issue here. Although i have encountered the grey WiFi signal a few times. I think it means no connection to Google services or something like that. Try a clean flash

Yes that's exactly what's it means I know I get it on my WiFi at work cuz it restricted WiFi and won't connect to Google servers cuz it blocked but its fine at home just an FYI to who is seeing this
