Hell no! Its the King of tablets it you actually use it for more then Angrybirds and videos.

Can take a beating = Check
Awesome stylus for notes = Check
Great screen and good performance = Check

Its one of the great mysteries why this tablet isn't the most sold and used tablets on Xda.

and now with root access!: )

I have a Prime and my wife has the ThinkPad. I would say that between the two, the ThinkPad can take the beating for sure and I'm definitely jealous of the stylus, however I would love to keep what I have and just add the stylus ability. Either way, I would definitely agree that the ThinkPad is still a kick-ass tablet.

Congrats on the root all.

You are correct it worked on mine. I had to re-install Super User from the Market and re-install the Terminal program.

Got it!

I manage already, with System Tuner, to uninstall all those Lenovo Apps, and it is working like a charme!

Who wants other Tablet?

Thanks all!

I will donate as well!

I would love to see a pure Android version on this hardware, pure... simple and pure :D

Not sure but it appears that you can't have your tablet encrypted and get root. Mine is encrypted and during the process it just hangs after the first time you press a key to continue. Tried several times and at one point gave it an hour but nothing.

That being said, I did a factory default and was able to get root no problem. I was also able to encrypt it again after and I still have root. My tablet finally has full potential.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!!

I removed basically all of the Lenovo apps by brute force and other than having to reboot the tablet twice due to some force close loops that occurred when deleting certain apps, everything went fine.

Then I started ****ing around with SystemUI.apk, and now I'm missing the bottom bar...

Did you manage to fix everything? I can send you my unedited SystemUI.apk if you would like so that you can replace your broken one.
