HDMI flicker / TV out

Hi guys, I am on the stock ICS rom and have tried a few other roms, IE cm10 and paranoid android, all of these roms have what seems to be hardware flicker, i have read people have got it working with a HC rom ? what are the solutions if any to this annoying issue? as i really want to use the TV out feature.

id also like to know if the RCA TV out cable suffers from the same issue?

By messing with the plugs i think i managed to solve this issue, it seems the HDMI needed a separate power socket to the one used for the TV, i am still not exactly sure why this has worked unless the is a power drainage issue, but it seems to work and thought id share.
