I've used link2sd, works exellent, and you be able to freeze unwanted apps.
Maybe your sd-ext is somehow damaged?
I'm pretty sure, that sd-ext isn't damaged as it's working fine with a stock 2.3.6 rom and phiexz's 3.0-kernel. So I guessed it must be something specific to GioSpeedo.
Well, maybe I can pinpoint the problem ...

I will try to bring aroma to this rom, i so far got it to get the touchscreen and buttons correct, it does not install anything as i haven't customized it yet.
Suggestions are welcome Preferably in pm.
The aroma version is on the dropbox if the developers want to check it out.
I will try to make it a closed nightly, changes every night
But remember I'm still learning and it might take some time.

I will be gone for 4 days because of camping, there is no internet there so no point bringing my phone, so no developing or posts from me.
But if anyone wants to improve my nightly, do it, just write what you changed in the txt file.
Also, don't try to install the rom from aroma, It doesn't install anything, actually, i don't know what happens but i recommend abort install.
If anyone can write the updater-script it would be nice, as i am using phiexz :/

I made a rom based on gingerbread 2.3.6
its finally working!!!
I didn't wanted to discontinue it, so after quite a while its working now..
this rom is based on stock, and has ultimate speed due to it is barebones, but im going to add more apps in the future..

its meant to be fast, like it is called.
but in my opinion its a little little bit too fast, as you can hardly read it, but keep it fast, just not too fast2
