A friend of mine noticed that his car dock is not working anymore on CM9 with stock kernel but with CM9 and semaphore kernel is working fine. Do you have any ideas ?

No feature requests and you can't change the true colors of ics :).
Wait for themes to become available.

after a clean install of the 0422 nightly + latest gapps the phone doesn't restore my apps after the first login. ANd the option to restore data after login in a google account is gone.

Any feedback?

EDIT: i think that the problem is because in the latest gapps instead of vending we have phonesky

EDIT: using 0317 after a clean intall fix the problem

I flashed the rom & its really nice and I start restore my apps using titanium backup. Restore finished. But there is no apps ! What's wring?

After receiving several Force Close ( Trebuchet FC, Browser FC, etc ) I have decided to reinstall the ROM by doing the following steps :
- wipe cache
- reinstall latest rom
- reinstall latest gapps
- wipe caceh again
- restart

Guess what : THAT DAMN LOOP, what the heck? When I firstly installed this 0422 it worked without a single problem, what's up now ?

when you say 'wipe cache' does that mean 2 steps, i.e. normal cache and dalvik cache? or normal cache only? i.e. you also have to wipe dalvik.

why do you wipe cache twice? it is sufficient to wipe before install. In fact, wiping after install of the rom has been known to cause the loop in previous builds.

Sorry buddies if my Q is repeated before.I installed nightly No.419 for my friend and me and I've not have any problem yet but the clock for my friend freezes.any suggestion?

Never had a problem with any of the builds before this one, now I'm getting FC on a lot of apps, disk l/O errors, etc. Why would that be? I haven't done anything different when flashing this time around?

Same here and I did a reinstall after I did a Clear cache factory reset ( pay attention that you will lose all apps you have installed so you'd better use titanium backup before doing factory reset from CWM )

Isn't ad-hoc wireless support still enabled? I really need it for my work... So i'm stuck on CM7 now... Is there any way to use it with this ROM?

    Installation

    - First time flashing ICS to your Galaxy S (or coming from another ROM)?
    1. Root your device and install ClockworkMod Recovery.
    2. Reboot into Recovery using 3-button-combo
    3. Do a Nandroid backup!
    4. WIPE (wipe data/factory reset + wipe cache partition)
    5. Install the ROM from internal sdcard using ClockworkMod Recovery
    6. Optionally install the Google Addon
    7. WIPE again or Calendar Sync will not work.
    - Upgrading from CM7?
    1. Do a Nandroid Backup!
    2. WIPE (wipe data/factory reset + wipe cache partition)
    3. Install the ROM from internal sdcard using ClockworkMod Recovery
    4. Optionally install the Google Addon
    - Upgrading from another CM9 (or teamhacksung) Build?

    Reporting Bugs

    You are allowed to report bugs only in this thread. Before reporting a bug, please make sure you are running as stock as possible. This means no custom kernel, no custom framework modification, etc. If you are using any of the above modifications, please flash the rom again to get rid of the modifications before reporting.

    • Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
    • If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
    Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. The following is a useful format to follow.

    You'll have the option to use your microSD card as /sdcard in Settings -> Storage -> Menu -> Storage configuration. Android by default (as HTC started it) uses the microSD card as /sdcard and internal memory as /emmc. Samsung came along and uses internal memory as /sdcard and microSD as /sdcard/external_sd. We need to standardize in CyanogenMod, so starting with this nightly, we follow the standard HTC has set, but we also give users the option to swap them if they want. When it comes to Samsung devices, users expect internal SD as /sdcard by default, to the setting is set to swapped as default.

    TL;DR: Nothing changes.

    The nightlies are designed to be used with the kernels that come with it only. The default preference to swap is stored in the ramdisk in the kernel which is lost if you switch kernel (and so internal SD mounts as /emmc).
