Android battery issues (followed many tips, none work so far)
Recently I acquired a Cube U9GTV tablet. When it comes to value for money, it's quite okay. However, I think that something drains its battery.
This is my first tablet so obviously I have no idea what to expect, but I have a Samsung I9000 running 4.2.2 and compared to it, tablet's battery is out of the league. My phone can stay up to 3 days being idle, taking no more than 1% per hour (of course without wifi/3g/gps, just cell signal). When it comes to my tablet, it can hardly last a day without charging, eating 2-4% of battery per hour. No wifi, no synchronization, no location access.
Maybe I just expect too much, but I some other users of this device report that their device can stay alive up to 3 days, while being completely idle. Mine cannot make it to a day.
Things I have done so far:
- Clean ROM install, no Google account, no Synchronization, no Wifi, no BT
- Deleted Phone.apk, TelephonyProvider.apk, MMS.apk -> the Mobile network signal bar in Battery status changed from red to yellow, battery drain decreased a bit
- Disabled Media Scanning by Rescan Media Root
- Stopped Google services running in the background (but didn't touch the cached ones)
My tablet enters Deep Sleep with no issues. But I noticed that the battery drop rate is not a constant, it varies and it seems that sometimes it drains the 1% per hour, but then something happens and hops to 4%/h.
The thing that concerns me is the Mobile network signal
, which is completely useless cause my tablet is only a Wifi version, and I do not use external 3G modems.
I am unable to see battery usage in Settings, it just says it's unavailable. So I got myself Better Battery Stats, made a test and screenshotted results (see Attachments).
Why does it show No or Unknown Signal
and No data connection
If you have any suggestions or tips, share them with me please.
Thank you in advance.
