Hi all. This thread is for all of you that have problems with the GSM signal. Here are some modems i found ! Hope this will help you!

Check the one made by Xakep! One of the best developers for this phone!

Here is a little tutorial:
1. Download your zip file;
2. Copy zip file on the root of your SD Card;
3. Reboot your phone on custom recovey TWRP or CWM
4. Go to install and browse for SD Card. There you will find your modem software in zip file.
5. Install the modem
6. Reboot your phone and wait for the GSM signal to appear;
7. If your signal is no good repeat steps 1 to 6 with another one.

Allways make backup !

Update:
Xakep modem software and fullmodem_Moly_WR8_W1248_V47_P9 work in Malta.

Currently working through the list, so far V52 Modem_P780_V52 is quite good. No 900Mhz shown but reliable 3G

Update the modem_P780_V23_S226_ROW and modem_P780_V23_S226_CN modems!
Updated new modems! Check the one made by Xakep! One of the best developers for this phone!

Do a full backup with TWRP and try. I thinh will work. Never tried. Never forget FULL BACKUP.

Hi. I have the one made by Xakep ! Try and see !
The think is that every country has diferent signal!
Do you have IMEI ? from that picture seems that you dont have any card or you lost IMEIS !

Can I use all modem for KK to try or dont.

If you have KitKat use any KitKat modem. You will not brick your phone. First do a stock modem backup.

I have flashed Miui V6 5.4.10 KK 4.4 P780 4GB, I wish to flash the Modem V101 as most people recommend, may i know which is the V101 modem suit to my phone? Thanks.

After flashing V101 on miui V6 row, the bluetooth unable to pair new device but connection existing (paired) devices no issue and no robot sound.

After flashing V104 on miui V6 row, the bluetooth able to pair new device but connection existing (paired) devices with robot sound. :silly:

In Europa section exist modem software tested in Europa.
In China section exist modem software tested in China.

There are 2 kinds of motherboards produced for Lenovo P780.
Most of them are for China and exported in Rest Of the World.
A small part is made only for ROW.
The only diference is in the hardware modem part, on the motherboard.

Hi ! The modem in Europa folder are modems tested in Europa by diferend friends from here and sended feedback!
Modem most used by me is Xakep`s modem! I live in Europa. Poland is in Europa! Sooo... try Xakep modem first.
After modem software is installed there is no need for wiping cache or Dalvik, DO NOT WIPE ANYTHING!

Just reboot to system.
Most of modem software depends on your GSM operator and type of frequency thy use.

Hey Fictionch,

Please advise if you found working modem for your CHI p780.

Also kindly tell me if the broadband changes after you flash new modem (please check in System Settings ↦ Software Information ↦ About Phone at section Baseband Version before and after flashing modem).
II'm asking because I got confirmations that zip file were processed normally, but Baseband Version didn't change. Phone also didn't have range afterwards.
