I'm facing this problem too with my HOX on JB. I have mounted a normal rom from nandroid that someone recommended me in this forum,: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0BwEZB8sRo0DSdTRrN3FSSk5fUE0/edit?pli=1 The phone barely reach 6PM at 18%. I have it since 5 days by now but i'm really pissed off rigt now because of this poor battery life.
Does this "trick" applies for me on JB or there is something more i can do?

Thank you.

no it even doesn't made any differences for ICS ...just install maybe a custom rom and a custom kernel like XM, Kozzmick, Neo or from Trip ...you should try one of them for example for 3 days with the same rom better a custom one and then if it isn't good for you, you can try the other kernels for some days...and normally this thread should be closed because it's dead..

Guys I've not read the whole thread but I have hox+ and the nvcplsvc.apk does not exist on my phone. Im using arhd8 and a brilliant booster app for rooted phones which I may well make a thread about. Anyhoo should I download the apk and put it in the folder?

No you don't need this here...it was in the few first builds but now it doesn't make anything

Hello, i need a little help

Thank you for the fix, i tried few minutes ago. everything seems to be fine.

i followed step 1-5 but after clear d-cache and reboot the phone. i still could not find the long name file with @..@. @... in data/dalvik-cache folder.
:crying::crying:

Our renowned dev mike1986 found out that Tegra 3 power management controls are broken in firmware 1.26 and he fixed it in his latest ROM (v1.2.2)

from what i could gather on his thread, Nvidia power control app was placed in a wrong folder

those who have tried this ROM, can you please report your situation now, Heat, battery, performance, flicker and glitches?

Instructions thanks to mike1986

Dude this fix is almost two years old... You don't need this as there Is nothing more to fix about that ...all those things were fixed by HTC with their updates...

Dude Just one post before yours I already wrote that you don't need to do this fix anymore...the files either doesn't exist anymore in the system, and if it's already in the right place...like I said you don't need it as it was just needed on the very first few updates on hox

You don't miss NvCPLSvc.odex because NvCPLSvc.apk is not odexed.

    1. Download resigned NvCPLSvc - http://xda3.androidrevolution.nl/db_mirror/Others/NvCPLSvc.apk

    2. adb push NvCPLSvc.apk /system/app

    3. reboot into recovery

    4. Clear dalvik-cache

    5. Boot system and check if system@app@NvCPLSvc.apk@classes.dex is in data/dalvik-cache

guys lots of newbies around here so please can someone make a list of what's needed to get this done?

also the effect is only battery so far?

Here you go + permission fix!

    Lee!!!!

Ive found out where the missing power management options has gone wrong

For some reason HTC misplaced the .apk and put it in /system/bin instead of system/app

You will find it /system/bin/NvCPLSvc.apk and it needs moving to system/app.

For users who already have LeeDroiD installed, use a file manager with root access and move NvCPLSvc.apk from/system/bin to system/app and reboot.

Fixed the power management on my own and it improved my battery life for about 10%-20%. It lasts a little bit more now but still have that battery drain.

Not sure but my old hd2 used less in standby (1-3mah) and my one x around 130mah according to battery monitor widget.
I know it's quadcore and no singelcore but I thought the companion core would save a lot.

battery widgets not updated for HOX yet.

can you explain how you fixed it on your own? placing the apk in the system/app folder?
Just check in the battery monitor app, In the graph you can see a white line which seems as it has a battery drain of 0ma in standby. I see this in every rom I use, even on stock.
