Just one general suggestion: if, as it looks like from the way you speak, this is a known bug it should be written in the OP. I downloaded this rom because it said "NO KNOWN BUGS" in the OP, now I have to flash back to stock... no big loss, but it could save the next guy some time ;)

Maybe you are right, but as you read in some posts before in some cars it is working and with some other ROMs also. Any way it is not working 100% like with stock ROM and if it is so vital for you all those functions then in general you must not move out of stock rom. It is not written in the OP because according to my opinion it is not checked in all the car brands and finally the OP he can not check all this, thats why he posts the ROM and the testers talk at this thread and report the problems. The first think that you had to do was to go and read the entire thread to see what is going on and then to install. Finally last think is that the rom dev he is not doing this for money and thats why you take all the responsibility for what happens to your device and just give some thanks to the dev for his big effort(really big) to create this for us. If finnaly you do not like The Product you have to try other ROM because this forum it is full of ROMs and mybe one of them its the best for you.

Having attempted to do a few rom ports myself, I can assure you I have the deepest respect for any dev that puts his time and effort into projects like this.

I remarked like I did because, since I'm the most "tech savvy" of my friends I often happen to flash roms on other people's phones and it's not the first time I install a rom that is said to be "bug free" where instead there are known bugs but they are for a function the dev doesn't use, so he doesn't consider them "real bugs". I was merely saying that writing a notice in the OP saying something like "BT may or may not work, test it and go back to stock if it doesn't" would be nice, because some functions that most people don't use may be vital for some others.

Anyway, thanks again for the help, and thanks to all the devs for their continued efforts, I admire your skills and always will.

I unpacked the FeaCore Phoenix kernel which is included in this ROM, and changed the RAMDISK so it mounts the data partition on the external SD, /dev/block/mmcblk1p2
You may need to have a second ext4 partition on your SD-Card !

Make a backup, flash GIGABREAD+ and then flash the attached patched kernel, maybe it will work.

YOU ARE DOING THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK, I DON'T HAVE BRICKED EMMC SO THE KERNEL WAS NOT TESTED !

Pretty useless post :banghead: .
You should stop being a jerk and go make your own "bug free" ROM.
You've chosen to flash it, so it is your fault.Don't blame OP.Maybe he didn't even know about it.

I think this is the best gingerbread rom for sgs plus i ever tested... one thing though.... the gps seems to not be locking properly... is this normal?

I used GB+ until some weeks ago. Four - five days a week with outdoor-navigation - I had no problems with GPS.
Only in the deep forest I used it with external GPS.
Setting North-America worked best for me (I'm living in Austria) and WiFi disabled.

But ADC Recovery isnt able to create backup of stock rom. I used Alirezas Cwm for that. It seems its a problem of the source.

By the way: I discovered really weird behavour in Gigabread+. Yesterday phone has got a self-reboot, I did not use the phone at this moment. After reboot, I got 0 tries for entering the pin. Phone asked for PUK, even after another reboot. I noticed this sometimes before that, but I got one or two tries left, thats not soo bad, but entering the PUK made me digging in paper for two hours.

    note: this is the best combination for fast, stable and elegance usage. (battery drain in sleepmode < 1%/hour)
    so you have to do nothing on it. you can correct me, if i did some wrong modifications or have forgotten something to do.
    take it like it is or try one of the other very nice roms for our sgs+ device.

    because it is very important to read all this here and always being up to date, thanks.
    additional informations:
    ~ NO KNOWN BUGS

    ~ if your dataconnection is not working, try a reboot or - 2g toggle needs root - start superuser app and then start toggle2g app - allow root access in the popup. after that, you can deactivate or delete toggle2g, if you don't want to use it
    ~ after installation, you have to remark "animate" and "show battery bar" in batterybar settings app to make the bar visible
    ~ to manage your personal data before this installation, try "titanum backup" - available in google play store
    ~ click here for infos about the feacore phoenix kernel
    ~ most tweaks are integrated with the kernels. do not delete or add anything of/to init.d
    ~ for a better usage and battery life, i recommend you to deactivate notifications in settings for superuser app and use toggle2g

    hey folks :)

    i am thinking about a new android 4 rom (something special what's not available for our device at the moment ;) [can't talk about it] ) for i9001 after final gigabread+. because now we have a good base, thanks to arco68 and ivendor.
    but at the moment i have two devices, sgs+ and sgs2.
    my plan was to sell the i9001 after the final release.

    now my two problems:
    1) i realy love the i9001-community and don't want go away.
    2) but i need the cash :(

    i decided to add my paypal account to my xda-profile, because many user asked for it. so lets see what comes around.
    if you like me, too. i will stay with you :)

    The bugs i found:

    Toggle2G changes network to 2G but only sometimes back to 3G

    Downloading files with stock and other browsers didn't work

    2G and 3G Manual Toogle at the statusbar was relative buggy

    The big caller picture destroys the framework of the phone app

    If these things get fixed we have a PERFECT Gingerbread Rom ;)

    hope it is better now.
    i guess the download-problem is caused by the adblock-file.
    maybe i will revert adblock, because you can also download it at google playstore.
