Was going to mention here that Sony DJ-500's are around ~$99... I had a 5 year warranty that I never cashed in, and still have these over 10 years later.. Hell and back and they still sound great..

Were I to get a new pair of 'phones, I' go for Bower and Wilkins P5's

Now thats a sweet set of cans; noise reduction, plus built in mic.

Bang & Olufsen

I'm quite enjoying the sound quality on my Asus UX21 Ultrabook, that sports Bang & Olufsen's audio solution. I can listen to music on max off of my ultrabook, with exactly 0% bleeding from my ears.

Maybe Bang & Olufsen could be next to be "picked up" into mobile devices? :)

Anything is better than current HTC sound quality. But to those of you thinking beats will make your phone the best sounding thing ever, you are wrong. Beats isn't even a hardware enhancement, I had it on my vivid without it even being native to my phone. Beats has crappy sound quality with headphones, why would this be any different? Go download poweramp and you can EQ your phone to be even better than beats. Smart move by HTC though, people mindlessly flock to beats just like they flock to apple.
