Instructions

TWRP RECOVERY RECOMMENDED

ALWAYS FULL WIPE!

-Download ROM
-Backup your apps with preferred method(app2zip is great)
-Nandroid
-Wipe data ( factory data reset)
-Wipe system (Format system (in mounts/storage) if on CWM)
-Flash ROM
-Boot system and DO NOT TOUCH FOR 10 MIN
-After the 10 min, reboot phone and enjoy the Force
- Flash Add Ons/ Theme AFTER 10 min Waiting Period
-DO NOT RESTORE DATA!!!

    This is simply THE most solid firmware (or "ROM") upgrade for our phones that doesn't break anything yet offers the most IMPORTANT features from custom roms.

    Preface: I flash roms regularly and have done so for years on various android hardware. I'm used to looking for things that are wrong but as with everyone else I have my preferences of what is important. I use my phone as my phone, my laptop, my primary gaming device, my personal and office camera, and my office note taking device (written and through camera/stylus).

    EVERY JB rom for our note becomes unstable with time on my phone. I use my phone a LOT for the above uses and there is ALWAYS something wrong with either one or more features or with stability overall in those roms.

    So that leaves ICS roms. I'm in canada but have found at&t roms to work as well as telus roms here, however I do use the telus modem when possible as it seems to perform better here (it could be in my mind - I haven't tested my opinions, but based on experience with telus I've found this to be true with other android phones so the note should surely follow).

    This rom has built in gnow, nicely done, although that feature does seem to take a bit to settle in on this rom (a couple of uses and reboots before it stopped being glitchy in appearance or black screen showing only - hasn't happened since then so hopefully that issue won't come back).

    It has fully samsung stylus features.

    It runs NOTABLY faster in the user experience than any other rom that uses the samsung framework and also includes full stock stylus features.

    It has nice customization features if you go through the list of apps and try them and read how to use them.

    The google keyboard 4.2 as linke din this thread should become part of the OP imho - the new google keyboard with swype is so cool yet it isn't clear at all at first that it does these things as it looks sort of stock-ish and isn't named differently from boring old stock google keyboards. GET THAT 4.2 keyboard on your roms guys - it's truly excellent in every way with nice voice stuff as well!

    other points - holo locker is superfluous on this rom - the stock lockscreen is similar and offers great features too and appears faster than holo. just run holo from apps and turn it off from there to see what I mean. I see stock appear before holo every time when holo is engaged using default settings so it sort of seems pointless to waste memory/cpu/performance on it imho. However it's nice to have included if you want to go into holo's customizations I suppose. Just off by default would be nice.

    I wish it included a file manager by default. But whatever, just a minor inconvenience to install it from market before setting up my tit restore batch operation.

    Anyhow - this is imho the best rom for our phones. Yea, only used it overnight so far but it kicks so far in stability, features, performance, and note-ness!
