My battery life is pretty good for my use. An occasional text, hangout message, phone call, some music on break, etc. This is on wifi all day, 50% brightness and stock CM kernel that comes with the build.

I imagine my little battery drain is from having little to no cell service at my job cause I don't have this issue at all when I'm home with 1-2 bars at work I have 0 bars lol

Here's my usage from today, reception has been exceptionally poor at home where I used to get at least 2 bars. At work I get zero which is what I'm used to because of the building.

I've noticed since using AOSP roms that I get some what poor signal where I used to get 3-4 bars. My girlfriends S4 has 2 bars here at home and I have 0 lol

I'm loving this rom so much, I've made it my DD until 4.3.

I'm using neak Kernel, might try a different kernel and see how it goes. But its best to use a kernel for a few charge cycles before really making a decision on one I'd imagine.

Anyone know how to fix GPS. I tried the n7105 fix and loaded a tw ROM then loaded back to pa. None of these things fixed it :(

I'm getting the worst signal I've ever gotten on an aosp ROM unfortunately. Doesn't look like the new build has much for that. Was running plasma kernel for camera fixes.

Rick,
I'm already doing CM and Rootbox but I'd also like to do my own PA builds. I tried syncing with the legacy branch. When I do a lunch on i605, it ends up stalling out while downloading the device support. I believe this is due to AOSPA-t0ltecdma being referenced in i605.properties. That git account doesn't exist. Is there something I'm missing here?

In toolbar settings, go to hardware keys and enable the show menu overflow option. For your layout issues, I'm not seeing that either and have normal 360, 600, and 720 options. I'll take a look at what might have caused all these issues in a bit.

Excellent, I didn't realize there was an option for this now. Thanks. As soon as I enabled it, I rebooted just to make sure it was permanently set, and got stuck while booting, lol. Several attempts and cleared cache/dalvik cache later, still stuck on booting, ended up restoring the backup I had made from the previous day and set things up again. :( Now it seems fine, though. In regards to the 540p thing, it's definitely weird. Some apps have 600p, some have 540p; and Contacts has a 580p option available. o_O Here's an example of the Play Store's 540p:

What is the theme used in the pic at the beginning of the post?

Switching that option on shouldn't cause a bootloop. Not sure. The Play Store pic, that's normal. Some apps just have different layouts. Nothing PA can do, that's the app developers.

Ah; interesting. It had a 600p option on the build before last, and now it's 540p, so I was just wondering; not that it matters. At the time, I was just trying to figure out why turning on the soft key bar didn't give me the triple-dot menu on all the apps like it had previously. Thanks for the help, broski; and keep doing the Lord's work with this ROM. ;)

Is this normal? I started using plasma with recommended stweaks settings. Got to 100% charge and android os has been at the top this whole time. Never was, I'm just wondering if any one knows what I can do to stop unnecessary battery drain.

Don't mean to clog up this thread, this will be the last time I post about battery life in here. I love this rom just trying to get somewhat good battery life and good performance.

Thanks

I hadn't checked recently about it, but that was the main thing keeping me from consistently using AOSP roms. It seemed like Android OS would be using the CPU and keeping it awake about 1/3 of the time. When I would check better battery stats it would show fast_dormancy and mdm_hsic_pm0 as the main wakelocks. I would get about the same battery life I had with my Nexus, but I still eventually come back to get my PA fix :p

I think I'm good, satisfied with how it's sipping battery now even in low signal areas.

Ok I have a problem. I had to flash the Plasma Kernel because all the other methods to get the camera to work didn't solve the problem. I didn't want to flash Plasma because before I did on the last build, and it fixed the camera but the music quality when I have in headphones in is terrible.

Is there a download for the Kernel that comes with the ROM?

Wiz, I don't know if this is what's causing your issue or not, but I noticed the sound tab in STweaks with this version has the volume levels all cranked up well above defaults, causing excessive loudness and distortion. Might want to lower them and see if that helps.
