Default [i9023] stuck in landscape mode, won't rotate.

So I had a hardware issue with the USB connector and I took the phone to the labratory to solder a new micro USB connector.

They returned the phone to me and said that they couldn't solve the problem as I have a defect motherboard.

Phone worked fine, until I rebooted. After reboot, it got stuck in landscape mode and whatever I do doesn't help.
I gave them the phone back, they gave it back to me after 20 mins and the phone worked perfectly even with rotation. But then again, after reboot it got stuck again.

They insist that my MB is ****ed up.

Installed Andro Sensor for debugging the hardware. Everything looks just fine.
All sensor are completely functional.

Tried flashing a backup that worked before, tried "fix permissions". Nothing helped.
I use a CM9 mod.

Anyone has a clue what might be the problem?

Thanks.

Update:

After I replaced my battery to the spare one, problem seemed to be solved... BUT now I cannot charge via the USB port.
So basically the phone has two different behaviours:

1. If the phone is stuck on landscape mode, I am able to charge it via the AC charger
2. If the phone works normally, I cannot charge it.
