Hi,

If I want to flash a Titanium Backup "update.zip" with all my apps+data, would I need to flash the mounting zip (data2sd-jb42-intmedia-that1.zip) first to get access to my external /data partition?
Device 01: HTC One X | ROM: AOKP OR MIUI
Recovery: CWM 6.0.3.0 | Launcher: Nova Launcher Prime

Device 02: ASUS Transformer Infinity Pad TF700T | ROM: CROMi
Recovery: TWRP 2.5 | Launcher: Nova Launcher Prime

That's not the mounting zip, that's the ROM add-on. You need to run mount-data2sd.zip to switch your recovery to the external /data partition.

But will my internal /data/media still be intact? I don't want an external /data/media...

If you want to restore your Tibu backup zip to your external sdcard ext4 then you need to flash mountdata2sd.zip file, if you don't then the restore would go to the internal storage.

I used gparted and configured my 64 GB Class 10 SanDisk MicroSD card the following -

Partition 1 19.5 BG Fat32 and 39.3 GB .ext4.

I now have SDcard showing 27.1 GB Total storage (Same as my original internal) and my SDcard 2 showing 19.5 GB and File System Root showing 39.3 GB. These are in TotalCommander file manager.

When I look in settings > storage it shows 39.3 as the first listed storage (I believe this is now the internal storage) and the 19.5 as the SD external storage. I THINK this what it is supposed to be.

What I am NOT understanding is what if anything is done with the original 27.1 GB of internal storage? Is it just never used anymore?

I think I have figured out when you install an app now it is saved into the File System Root 39.3 section along with anything that is downloaded/installed from the internet.

Where is the file saved that I would copy from my computer to the internal folder that shows up on my computer when I connect my TF700 via USB?

Thanks for any help!

Everything you mentioned sounds correct, your PC only can see the fat32 partition of your sdcard. To copy file between your ext. sdcard and the internal, you need to use file browser app like ES file explorer, root explorer etc..You can't copy file directly from computer to the internal.

Yes you did everything right. Using Total commander you'll see your internal as Sdcard. The pathway is: /storage/emulated/0. If you want to transfer files from computer to tablet internal memory, try this path (I have not tested this, but this is what I get). It should be noted that I also flashed D2SD-internal, so if you don't get the same pathway, this may be why. See if you can move files between ext to internal, that makes your internal useable.

Thanks much - that answered a lot!

I looked for the "D2SD-internal" but could not find. I did flash the "mount-data2sd". I could not exercise the /storage/emulated/0 from my PC.

Look at post #1774 for the link. It's a simple flash and make access to your internal storage easier.
