I'm running the stock kernel that comes preinstalled. I a have been using by phone for 40 minutes screen on time and only lost
15% of battery. I've been reinstalling my apps too. Also, install the nometadata gapps kk in the cm11 thread. The AOKP ones don't work.

The camera also has a blue tinted bar at the top of the screen. It doesn't affect the pictures, videos, or panoramas, but it is still noticeable.

For me, all is working! If ya want peek and lockscreen notifications, just install xblast xposed module, this is what I did, just to disable this horrible crt screen off effect, working great

Does the rom have the ability to disable the button backlight? If not, does Xblast tools have it?

Try the Paranoid Android 0-Day Gapps (which ever pack you prefer). They work flawlessly on here.
