Hey, first off, I really appreciate your work since this toolkit made life easier (don't have to type carefully in adb :D)
Sorry for the noob question here, it's been ages since I last used your all in one toolkit. The last time I used it there are no options for the three additional features.

So, my questions first question is if I don't do the perm root option under the optional section, it will only temp root my phone? Is the perm root option basically flash the superuser.apk?

Another question is what does the apk installer do? Is it just like batch installing the apps that I have on my phone in case I switch between ROMs?

Lastly, what is mainver error fix option do?

I didn't see any of these options previously and I couldn't find any readme.txt or manual that explain those features.... So, I am just wondering if I need those....

Pretty lazy to explain on my phone. Watch the video in the first post =D

My bad... I haven't see the video because I read somewhere that you said the video is outdated; so, I thought it was the same old video :(

Sorry bout that... Watching it now :)

Okay...so I have made it as far as unlocking the bootloader. But, when I try to take the next step from the video, all I get in the command prompt is:

C:\Users\Jeremy\Desktop\Amaze 4G - Root Toolkit\data>adb kill-server

C:\Users\Jeremy\Desktop\Amaze 4G - Root Toolkit\data>adb push Su/SuperSU.zip /sd
card/SuperSU.zip
* daemon not running. starting it now on port 5037 *
* daemon started successfully *
error: more than one device and emulator
Go to Install Zip From SD Card
Choose Zip From SD Card
Locate SuperSU.zip and flash it
Press the back button and then reboot the phone
You are now rooted!

C:\Users\Jeremy\Desktop\Amaze 4G - Root Toolkit\data>adb reboot recovery
error: more than one device and emulator

C:\Users\Jeremy\Desktop\Amaze 4G - Root Toolkit\data>pause
Press any key to continue . . .

Press a key...nothing happens...I have debugging mode enabled, I have the drivers provided, I have to bootloader unlocked...what am I missing? =/

After you unlocked the bootloader did you flash a custom recovery? If I'm reading correctly, the toolkit is pushing the SU file onto the sd card, then it wants you to go into recovery and flash it. If you haven't flashed a recovery, then flash 4ext recovery. then you can download superuser here, if it isn't already on your sd card, and just flash it through recovery, which would be these directions you are reading in the command prompt:

Go to Install Zip From SD Card
Choose Zip From SD Card
Locate SuperSU.zip and flash it
Press the back button and then reboot the phone
You are now rooted

Alright, I'll try it again, though when I tried yesterday...I tried turning debugging on/charge only/bootloader unlocked...I reset my phone and clicked the 4EXT, then clicked flash recovery...same thing... "error: more than one device or emulator" and "< waiting for device >"

Like I said, I'll try again as soon as I finish this post honestly lol. But, any clue as to why I keep having this issue?

***Noob question! I just realized that I took the MicroSD out a while back because a friend needed to use to for some transfers...could the fact that I don't have one in the phone be what is causing this? If so, I can go buy one today.*** -Bought an hour ago =D

Finally, what is the difference between 4EXT and TWRP 2.1.0? I have no clue which one I need to flash when I do this.

I would say go with 4EXT because it flashes everything easier.

Root/debloat successful, probably stay with ICS until I learn a little more and go from there. Thanks for answering all of my questions and helping out, I truly do appreciate it! =)

I have a quick question.. Im gonna flash a rom tomorrow.. So after I unlock boot loader, install recovery, could I install Faux kernal through this application and then install my rom? Or do i have to install the rom first?

So: 1. unlock bootloader; 2. install recovery, use the backup thing in app (this protects my phone in case something bad happens), flash kernal, then flash rom.

Looks like Dev-Host is taking its sweet ass time upgrading its servers. http://d-h.st/mue

Is there anyway someone could PM me an alternate link to v3.2?? I know the developer said to use his server, but like I said. Its been down all night & day. I won't share the link. Thanks.

They're not taking their sweet ass time. Hard Drive was going out so they have to move out the data.

If you say so, but its been down for quite a while now. I hate to be critical of your host choice, but haven't they heard of backups or redundancy??

But I'll be patient. Thanks.

Just be patient. They're doing a lot of work for us devs. Let them do what they need to do. It's a free service they are providing.

This is why I'm not reuploading it. You need to be patient or do what you need to do manually if you can't wait.

Doing it manually now actually. Unlocked bootloader. Next step is where it gets fuzzy. Here's why. Some instructions call for installing 4EXT next, but that won't fly because it needs Root access. Well, all the root methods (besides yours) look like they're out of date. The "one click" methods fail & usually don't do anything besides open & close a terminal prompt. Windows & Mac (I have both). Sooo, thats where I am.

I'm actually pretty sharp when it comes to this stuff, but I do need the right info. There seems to be a mishmash of correct & incorrect stuff in the Amaze forums.

I would like to add for those that like my toolkit, PLEASE DO NOT POST IT ELSEWHERE WITHOUT MY PERMISSION!

I have seen multiple sites who copy and paste my work to their site! If I do not approve of it, then do not do it! it will discourage me from adding updates since it is being used for their own benefits!

    tl;dr.

If you post my work without permission, don't expect updates!

I created an easy to use GUI program for the Amaze. I spent a good over 10+ hours to learn how to script, watch videos on how to do it, working on it during school when I should have been listening lol and all that fun stuff. The GUI interface looks like crap right now GUI is improved starting from v2.0 but I just wanted to share it. I am going to fix it and up and add more updates to it. You CAN place requests and I will try to fulfill it!

If this helped you out, Please press the thanks button and if you want, you can always donate!

    Code:
    C:\Users\[B]John_Smith[/B]\Dropbox\Phones\Amaze_All-In-One_Kit_V2.4

If you have 2 words, put the folder in Drive C:

Ex. This will solve any issues if the buttons don't work when you press them.

    Code:
    C:\Amaze_All-In-One_Kit_V2.4

    FAQs

Q - Why Did you make this?
A - To make life easier

Q - You are limited on features. Why?
A- You can always make a request!

Q - Will this work on other devices?
A - Only the fastboot commands, HTC Dev unlock (device specific) and the HTC drivers. Toolkit is made for the specific device.

Q - Will you support more devices in the future?
A - If people REALLY want, I can make it happen. I just don't want to make anything that nobody would use.

    Q - Awesome! Can I make a donation?
A - Of course! Do not feel obligated though. If you would like to make a donation, you can click the button on my toolkit or under my username.
