My computer is reading this as a trojan virus. Is it safe to use?

Sure thing, any software that has lines of code used to exploit will kick some flags on various protections, its safe

Damn so I will never be able to have apps like Spotify on my sidekick I know they require 4.0 and up...that's the only reason I wanna root or flash it

Yeah its annoying as this phone could handle much newer android versions, just never really had the dev community here - a few of us tried a bit but little success

If you need a keyboard phone that can be updated check out the Samsung galaxy relay - it has stock ICS and jellybean, custom KitKat and lollipop, and a dev working on marshmallow right now - price is reasonable too

Selling my sidekicks on eBay, I put JiN's root stock rom w/ glorious overdose v2 software on a flash. Don't know where but I should have 5-6 other roms for the sidekick somewhere, still looking. For now here's root, rom, bootanimations, v8 supercharger and factory with Odin, drivers,ect..... I'll keep looking and add to the listing, mega or Dropbox I thought but not there,hmmmmm.
