I've got OmniROM builds going on, as you probably already knew, and until yesterday when I brought in a cherry-pick to fix screen shots, I had made no changes to the base source code for 4.4.2. Only changes were in the device tree with mainly certain build flags in BoardConfig.mk (?) and a modified kernel config using your kernel source tree. I have nowhere near your experience or expertise with the coding side which is why I've tried to avoid changing anything there if I didn't have to. But, with my current setup, art seems to function very well, once enabled. I'm not noticing any reboots, crashes or otherwise that I wasn't seeing in the Dalvik mode, and maybe less, with a seemingly better performance (at least felt like it). That's not to say that everything else is working perfectly, just that art seems to work pretty well in OmniROM. Just sharing this to help you in your troubleshooting, not trying to hijack your thread. Good luck because I know you can do some magic for this machine.
Yep thanks, might try to combine some of omni build binaries for BT.
Btw I see in your thread that you still have reboots with your omni build, the reboots I had at first were linked mostly to surface flinger / GL
due to the broken compat with our old drivers.
I fixed these by getting the right combination of patches and flags.
I'll try to get everything pushed to gerrit tomorrow, I might have left a few unnecessary extra flags though, but well it works now
Could be worth a try to see if that helps your issues.
To fix the camera and OMX video hardware acceleration it's mostly a matter of giving it back the missing functions and symbols.
poke me by PM if you still have the issue I can try to find the commit(s) tomorrow.
thanks timduru, phablet mode is working very well and smoothly. For me it`s better than tablet mode of KitKat 4.3. What you did? heheh
Yeah I'm actually pondering if it's really needed to bring TabletUI
Phablet UI is working well now, and with expanded desktop / immersive mode not sure if it's worth the trouble.
I was more thinking about adding an option to integrate the navkeys into the top bar too , that way we can get rid of the bottom bar
First thanks Tim for the amazing ROM!
I'm getting lazy in my old age and decided just to wipe system, cache and dalvik cache leaving the data alone. All seems to be well except for Google calander which has decided that my account has no calander. If I try to add an account to calander it states there is trouble connecting to Google server. I have no trouble with gmail or play store. Is any body else using Google calander and if so does it work? If not then I'm happy. If it is working then I will have to do a full wipe.
Did you install Banks Gapps ?
If so make sure you read all the info on his page, not all packages are containing the calendar and browser sync, you need separate zips to flash to get these.
if you still have issues you might want to try clearing data for all the calendar and such, maybe google framework too.
Strange can't get supersu to work. When I install the zip in recovery the app is missing. When I use Playstore it can't install su binary

It comes already with the rom, don't flash another one.
