[Q] New phone or send it in?
So pretty much I bought my S3 almost a year ago, and the GPS on it has never worked correctly. (Of course, I have always been rooted but have tried a few different roms with no help.. I suppose I could go back to stock and see if it worked). Essentially it is a little slow and is also off (ie, Ill be on a highway and it will say I'm on an adjacent street) I've used Scott's CleanRom and now am on JellyBeans.
A month or two ago I dropped the phone and shattered the screen. I replaced it by myself, but after that the soft buttons don't work. So right now, the phone looks good however the gps doesn't work and the soft buttons don't work.
I'm driving more and while I should just buy a standalone GPS, I would rather just have it on my phone. I'm not too worried about the soft buttons as I found an on-screen nav bar app that pops up that has been working for the most part.
1) Sell it on eBay and use my upgrade. (Around how much do you think I could get for it?)
2) Send it back in to Verizon for warranty (Would they know I replaced the screen and just send it back? How does that work?)
