No, you need to flash cm7 first, then superosr rom then miui, after that you need a clean jvk instal via odin, after that, flash semaphore, cf-root and galaxian kernel, consecutive, after that, read the op.

MTD is Memory Technology Device. It is a Linux subsystem for handling memory technology devices; sort of a partition map u may say.

Another question (sorry, I'm beginning with the Galaxy S roms)
My actual ROM use the Teamhacksung's Build 10, or this rom will be a part of CM9 no? Or CM is a MDT based rom? So, I just need to flash the rom into CWM?
I'm totally a noob with galaxy S roms or not? :D

You can try a 3rd party application from Market to sync Fb with your contacts.
The only one so far that gives me both high resolution pictures and my friends' latest FB status is the one called Contapps and it's free.
You can try it.

This is written in the first post:

1. Flash any MTD based ROM (CM7/MIUI for example)
2. Reboot into recovery using button combos.
3. Flash MTD based ROM.
4. Wipe data/factory reset.
5. Wipe cache.
6. Flash RC1
7. Reboot.

On bullet 3, there's written to flash a MTD rom. If i start from CM7, should i reinstall it or can i just jump to bullet 4?

oncecosmic you are a god....this ics rom is incredible........like a cm7 100+ build..fast,smooth,no fc,no reboot,voodoo color,camera not great but ok,camcorder also not great but ok,games run smoothly..after 1 month,we have a great ics rom yet...thanks to all devs....galaxy s would be dead if there wasn't you....sorry for my english ;)

guys two stupid questions
1)I have some picture with contacts,but when they call me,picture are full of pixel...how I can fix it?
2)there is a way to modify locksreen app launcher? (instead of camera---sms....)

Yes that's normal, this is ICS trial edition, it will fully drain your battery every hour (the 1 hour limit as stated on first post).



(charge till 100%, wipe everything, re install, then let it drop to 5%, charge till 100% and you ll be fine)

    Flashing Instructions
    If you are flashing from another rom.

    1. Boot into Clockwork Mod Recovery Mode using volume buttons.
    2. (optional) Backup your current ROM.
    3. Select "install zip from sdcard".
    4. Select "choose zip from sdcard".
    5. Select the .zip that you downloaded and confirm it.
    *(optional) Flash newer kernel if you want to.
    6. Reboot the phone.
    7. Wait for phone to boot (this may take up to ten minutes)​

    If you are upgrading from an earlier build.

    1. Flash the newest build in CWM.
    2. If you run into any issues(app force close etc) do a factory reset from recovery.​

    If you have rebooted and your phone will not go past the kernel screen.

    1. Boot into CWM and wipe data/factory reset and wipe cache partition.
    2. Reflash the appropriate kernel.
    3. Reboot.

    If the flashing procedure didn't quite go to plan, please follow this guide

    Ok, work sucks, life not but takes time and so on...

    Here i am after getting a couple of minutes to post :)

    Lets start with a couple of things:

    Battery issues: If you don't complete 2 full charge cycles (discharge to 0 and charge to 100% 2 times) please do not complain about battery life, all android versions needs this in order to calibrate battery comsumption, this is mandatory.

    Brightness: I know is darker and have steps not working, i'll fix that, not sure if with an update or in the full release (again, lack of time)

    Wifi tether: does not work yet, its a mater of time.

    USB tether, worked for me all day today, no mayor issues. anyhow i'll try to check with other users to see what happens.

    Voodoo color kernel: it was compiled due to request from several users, i dont like it and i dont have time to check why the gamma tables get screwed, you can adjust them using voodoo control apk. :)

    T9 on dialer: wip, again, not sure if update or next release.

    Dictionary, there is a update that someone put on the thread, please take a look, it works without issues.

    TV Out: i'll get a cable today to test, i dont have one until now so i was not able to test it :)

    Media Scanning: i'll check on that (slowness, memory consumption and duplicate names).

    Besides of the things above, i have a i9000b phone (almost the same as i9000, minor differences) its complicate to diagnose problems in vibrant or captivate without having the device, so far i know that gps does not work on cappy i'll try to o my best, but again, without having the devices is difficult to test everything.
