Running great for me. I'm on AT&T and did not even have to replace build.prop. Everything is working great right out of the box. Still can't see mms sometimes while in mms thread with other people... Think thats an issue using aosp mms with touchwiz. Thanks!

My build prop was d2can by default. But when I flashed tasks aokp I had issues because his rom is d2att. So I modified the update script in the rom so it would install on my d2can device. Now my build prop says d2att. So I just have to do the opposite this time I think. I'll try flashing first and see how it goes. I just need time to do it... Would have done it today at work but it's a busy day.

will have the lockscreen your looking for, you can add it yourself if you would like, if it breaks the theme just reflash the theme go here and download the lidroid version, boot into recovery and flash the aroma installer, look for ice cream theme (not centred clock, unless you want it!) and finish the install, don't reboot, wipe cache/dalvik and fix permissions and reboot and you will have the rom fully working with aosp locksreen
I don't really see a need to bake an aosp lockscreen into my rom but here it is for the people who would like it
hmm that's strange, the only rom to ever give me problems due to region build.prop issues was CM10, I've flashed tasks aokp build many times with no issues coming from all sorts of roms, one of the main reason I created this one is because I'm sick of not having a completely stable fully working rom, instead of being a troll and a nuisance in his thread like a lot of newer XDA members, I felt I would create my own rom that would work 100% until there is a stable 4.2.1 with working BT audio and wifi tether that I'm sure alot of the members here will flock too

Anyways, The fact that you got the AOSP look with the stability of a fully functional touchwiz rom has me very excited. Can't wait to get this bad boy running. Thank you for all of your hard work.

Danvdh... Are you having any issues with mms? When people send me pictures it opens up a separate thread for them to show me the picture, and if its with multiple people, it won't show me anything?
Group mms using my AOSP mms app will be a little faulty. Regular mms works perfect. if it's a huge deal for you just grab gosms or handscent untill the issue is figured out bro. I don't see it in normal text convos with mms. The pictures I receive are never in a new message. It's always in the proper sms conversation

Finally had time to flash this and play around with it.. So far this Rom looks very nice and promising. Haven't encountered any issues so far knock on wood. Can't comment on battery life quite yet as I haven't had it for a full day. I will have a better idea tomorrow at work. Wifi tethering works flawlessly which is a huge plus over any aosp rom at the moment.
If I can get better battery life than tasks aokp on my device I think I will be running this as a daily driver until wifi tethering is fixed. I will post back later with more feedback. Great job with this Rom!

The rom's battery life is incredible
just make sure you clock it down to 1512 and use a good i/o scheduler and intellidemand. I get about 3 - 3.5 hour screen time, charge every other day. its perfect, also feel free to screw around with kernels, KT's kernel also gave me good battery life but he is about 4 linux versions behind on his TW kernel, if there is any drain. I can assure you its the kernel rejecting your phone and not my ROM. but so far i've seen no issues!I also feel like its important to note that I have been using Task's rom on and off since October so I know the battery life you come to expect with your device, his rom really is incredible but no bluetooth audio is a killer, no voIP is a killer in case I wanted bluetooth audio, and wifi tether on the go train is important for my ipad's well being.
The wizard task said himself, AOSP isn't supposed to be better then TW, just different. Although I myself like it better and many of you are probably with me on that, I will stay put here until 4.2.1 is working in FULL on my device.

Last Updated 2013-12-2444If you're having issues on my ROM that no one else is reporting, or I haven't reproduced on my phone, read the following.
1) Full wipe
2) Do not restore System data or data from CWM
3) Do not dirty flash from other ROM's
4) When was the last time you did a odin to stock? this is important in my opinion and I'm not saying you need to do one but I just want to explain that custom zip's that I make and other dev's make in the shape of "roms" only affect
a few partitions on your device, other's do not get touched and can get messy/corrupt over the months (This explains why the GPS icon disappears in some peoples cases during rom switch) and this is why I get posts in this thread about people wondering why their baseband hasn't been updated after flashing my rom when my post states "MF1"
With this being said my personal rule of thumb is to odin to stock latest and then boot into stock recovery and factory reset, wipe cache/dalvik (BACKUP YOUR SD CARD TO YOUR COMPUTER), this gives your phone fresh partitions everywhere, a fresh system to root and the latest bootloader (which you need for any AOSP 4.2 rom). This is also a good time to unlock your phone if you have not already, then reroot and install custom recovery, update the recovery if need be and flash again on a brand new system. here are my steps
1) backup all user apps and data with titanium backup, DO NOT BACKUP SYSTEM APP'S
2) backup internal storage onto PC
3) Odin to stock latest
4) wait for phone to boot then reboot into stock recovery and full wipe and clear all cache
5) reboot and root the phone and custom recovery
6) flash away and put what you need on your internal storage back onto your phone via usb, see my 2nd set of instructions below
this fixes more issues then you will realize. some of the way people flash rom's on XDA and complain to me with problems is rather funny considering I have the install instructions in the OP, not to mention many of you rooted your phone when you first got it in the ICS 4.0.4 day's and haven't done an odin to stock jellybean to update all your partitions including your bootloader, now I will go over my every day flashing step's.
1)backup all USER APPS/DATA with titanium backup, DO NOT BACKUP SYSTEM APP'S (skip this if you did a odin flash to stock)
2)reboot recovery
3)nandroid (skip this if you did a odin flash to stock)
4)factory reset, wipe system, wipe both cache/dalvik
5)install rom
6)boot system
7)*(OPTIONAL) reboot to install a kernel now if needed, always wipe cache/dalvik and fix permissions after installing a kernel
8)setup phone and download titanium backup from the market
9)restore all user apps and data (you will have to put the titanium backup folder that is backed up on your computer back onto your internal storage via usb first)
Every 6 months, backup internal storage to PC and I odin to stock, much like formatting a computer
6 months is actually a long time considering how much I flash, but this device can take a beating let me tell you =P

This build was 98% uploaded on the 22nd but I lost power, did not come back on until tonight as Toronto was smashed by a major ice storm. Powerlines down, Tree's down, entire cars frozen in a block of ice. It was a warzone but I'm happy I could get this build to you before Christmas as the ROM theme has seen many improvements in this build

Hello everyone, Thank you very much for the support, unfortunately as Idyar mentioned I got injured in a car accident last week and haven't been online to offer support / work on updates. I currently have a serious concussion, a fractured skull and a very difficult time walking, My neck is in a brace so I'm only able to look in one direction so this works quite well with a computer monitor. The next few months will be a true challenge as my life as turned around and now and day to day tasks are much more difficult. I will constantly need to goto the hospital for reevaluation and if there is complications and issues I might as well disappear again for a while, to be honest I'm just thankful to be alive and even typing this right now. My biggest advice to you all is don't always trust a green light, I did and got nailed by someone running a red.
I did some work tonight, made myself a new daily driver for anyone who want's to play with it..

This ROM right here is beast, It's the lightest ROM I have ever released and ships with all the necessary system files and none of the un necessary bloatware, in my opinion it is the closest to AOSP that TW is ever going to get on these forums and the battery life my brother and I are seeing is absolutley ridiculously amazing compared to previous builds, s3rx is in my opinion the best ROM to base my heavy modifications on and I thank loserskater and enewman17 for their support in this thread while I was absent and for their hardwork as my ROM would not be possible without them. They are truly amazing devs

Was told by Dan himself to post this, This his brother and I would like to let you all know that he will be coming home next week, recovery will be tough as he has bad injuries but he is eating and talking so everything is looking positive.
