I hate to ask without trying, but how's the 12-05 working for you guys? I've been on the same carbon nightly for a month and I'm dying to flash something lol

Sent from my Galaxy S4 using Taptalk 4

Been running for about 12 hrs now, everything is running mostly smoothly, a few little things here and there, but very little. Close enough for me to become a daily driver at this point. Kernel is ok. Going to flash KT and probably Faux, just to check them out.

@jake would you please package the kernel that comes with this in a flashable so I can switch back if I want?

Oh... for the people running into force close problems. Switch your recovery to philz and try the wipe for new Rom option. Or manually delete your Android and Android -secure folder on your SD card.

I found that there are a few little nasty leftovers that play havoc with omni

Been trying to get 'ok google'to work, which after a good amount of reading it appears that I need to update or just go throight the process of.... my language package in voice search settings. It says English is prepackaged and will not let me do anything with it. As in uninstall so I can reinstall. Where in the romance is that package stored, so I can manually uninstall and try again?

Also, for the life of me I can't get tap and pay for wallet to work..... am I doing something wrong?

0day gapps. On twrp 2.6.3.1

try regular CWM for now,,

Think we fixed NFC , and Google Wallet at the same time --

Does anyone have the opportunity to test 2 things for me?

1) NFC - test the full functionality of NFC
2) Google Wallet - are transactions successful when used like it should be at a PayPass thing?

PM me for the link for this test build.

Hey, awesome work. Just flashed the latest build and I must say I'm impressed with the ROM and Omni as general. And it's still a work in progress!

I'd like to ask (maybe it's been answered - I was lazy to search, shame on me :( ) - although the Menu button works, apps still think there is none and display the 3-dot. That's with every KitKat build I've tried (Omni, CM, etc.). Is it app-related, or still something to-do? Thanks.

Also, some things to look forward to in the near future:
  • Omni File Explorer - OmniROMs native root file manager
  • native root support (you will no longer need to flash SuperSU in recovery)
  • OpenDelta - Omni's OTA Updater
  • NFC fix *properly*
  • Multi-Window
  • a big surprise in the next few hours

I see capacitive buttons still aren't lighting. Any clue what's going on with that? Appreciate the hard work.

Haha yeah I saw that. Was curious what they thought was the issue and how it's coming along.

**possibly**, and i say that fleetingly, as that was a guess after someone else took a brief glance at it, a permissions issue in the device tree, but it has neither been confirmed nor denied yet. but i don't think it's been legitimately investigated either yet. there were more pressing things to get working other than some backlights, but it's definitely on the list of things to do.

Looks like ATT build just started, just check back in about 30-45 minutes for that download, located at the link in the OP.

    OP UPDATED - 20131201 - finally:fingers-crossed:
Sorry for the long wait - there are problems with the Camcorder. We know a workaround, but I wanted to get everything working with omni source as-is. That is still not possible, so yes, this build is built with a workaround. But nonetheless, everything is working as it should be :good:

Be sure to check out the new incoming call interface, as well as the time context headers for notification panel! Everything is pretty much within settings and is able to be toggled on or off
