[Q] Laundry list of problems rooting S4
I made the mistake of updating my Verizon S4 to the VRUAME7 build. I found a tutorial on the method for rooting the new build, but when I format my SD card to exFAT, I get an error that the SD card is damaged and to try to reformat it. I reformatted the card again with the phone but got permission denied errors when I tried to continue the process.
Is there any fix for this?
Edit: The SD card was included with my old phone and doesn't have a brand name on it, but I searched around for the serial number and it appears to be an OEM Samsung Class 2 MicroSDHC Memory Card (8 GB)
Solution: I got my hands on a cheap microsd card reader, and was able to format to exFAT without an issue. Apperently my old phone (Xperia Play R800x, Android 2.3.3), which I was using to link the card to my laptop was apparently not cooperating with the exFAT filesystem and it was being corrupted before I could move it to my S4
