Battery not charging.
Hey, I flashed the slimbeam rom about 3 days ago and I must say I am enjoying it aside from a few small problems and one MAJOR problem.
Ill start with the big one... My battery charges horribly... Let me explain. If it is plugged in to a wall port while the phone is on; it will never get a full charge... From 0% charge, I plug the phone into the wall port and it turns on (automatically, and if I turn it back off it turns back on) It will charge up until about 30% ish and overheats then sends itself into a infinite reboot. So I take it off the charger and let it cool off. (Wash, rinse, repeat until I get a full charge)
If I plug the phone into a USB port on my PC, the phone WILL stay off and charges faster (maybe takes 3-4 hours to get a full charge from 0%), i would be find with that if it actually stayed charged long enough to be useable. After searching the playing a game or two or using the GPS for a 30-40minute driver the battery is back at 20% after a full charge. I really like this ROM and don't want to remove it because is "SLIM" and fast. but this is a unbearable condition.
I followed all the instructions to flash the rom properly as stated in the first post and I have not since then flashed any new radio/kernal/gapps or anything.
As far as the minor bugs
Obviously the speakerphone does not work. If there is ANYWAY to fix this could someone please direct me to a post containing this fix or directions on how to do so.
Video chatting programs malfunction to make the programs unusable IE: Oovoo, when attempting to video chat as the phone is (supposed to ring) the screen turns black until the other person picks up. The person on the other end can not hear my voice and front facing camera is not working while in this program. Same results in Skype. When ending a video chat it is very like the phone crashes and reboots. It happened about 8 out of 10 times.
One other thing, earlier today I ran into a random reboot while playing Deer Hunter 2014, don't know if its a game error or if it was due to the phone over heating again because it was definitely warm when it rebooted.
Again, many thanks to the makers/contributors of this rom and I hope I am able to get some help on this. Thank you.
