ok thanks. at least its not me then. i wiped it clean and its running the latest stock rom with ad free android. its a lot better when its overclocked to 700mhz... pretty big difference. for $20, this is absolutely awesome. im using it as a music jukebox so i dont have to have my home theater computer on all the time. it also doubles as a wall clock! and triples as a house phone running groove ip and google voice. and quadruples as a gps navigator in case im going somewhere and dont want to drain my phone. and quintuples as a remote for my home theater pc if i need it in a pinch!

then went back my nandroid backup, and phone works great.

so then i tried openzio rom, and same thing as titan. sticks on boot screen. ive left it there for 30min and nothing happens, the phone just gets really hot

reflashing my nandroid backup now. i guess im running this thing stock? (yuck.. very slow).
Have you tried wiping data, cache, and system thru fastboot before flashing? You can also try wiping the boot.img with fastboot. Make sure you have all the imgs from whatever rom you are trying to flash and flash them manually with fastboot. I used to have to manually flash my Zio because flashing in recovery never worked for me, but flashing manually with fastboot always did.

My daughter uses an old Cricket Zio for games and youtube, and everything worked fine on the stock rom, however I thought I would try a different rom to make the device faster and better.

A Few issues:
Performance: This rom is so increadibly slow compared to the stock bloated 2.2.x rom from Cricket. Why is that?
Touch Screen Performance: It seems to take about 3/4 of a second for the touch screen to actually recognize the screen is being touched, very annoying.

Is there any way to improve these issues?

Thank you!

Hmm..that's weird...I didn't experience that when I tested before uploading it, also no one else has reported those bugs..my advice would be reflash ROM after doing a complete wipe.
