Possible work around for locked bootloader?
I came across this in the Optimus G pro forum: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2359170
It uses something known as Loki to do an end run around the locked bootloader. It doesn't actually replace the recovery it sits along with it and therefore you don't get a security error.
Where I am going with this has to do with the Stock Jellybean for the su640. As you know when installed via kdz, the system partition gets resized to 1 gb vs ~ 660 mb with Gingerbread/ICS. The only way to get v30c to install is to hack the size of the system to fit within the partition size that we have available, which seems to have caused other problems.
If we can find a way to have cwm along side the Stock boot loader, we could on theory make a cwm flashable version of v30c img files and have, IMO a more stable v30c. Any thoughts on this?
