Hey guys, I really like making these for some reason, so I figured I would make a thread.

To install these you must be S-OFF.

    How to install:
    1. Download the splash screen you want to install
    2. Place the file on your SD card, do not put it in a folder
    3. Rename it PH98IMG.zip
    4. Reboot to bootloader
    5. Enjoy your new splash screen!

So the command to flash this via fastboot would be:
    fastboot flash splash splash1.img
    or
    fastboot flash splash1 splash1.img
    ?
    Thanks.

    fastboot flash splash1 NAMEofFILE.img

but the OP's are PH98IMG.zip files. you place them on the sd card and update through bootloader

    or

extract the IMG file and fastboot that

Please excuse my ignorance. I never flashed the leaked firmware. I just unlocked, rooted, and flashed a ROM. My understanding was, that if I didn't flash the leaked firmware, I didn't lose s-off. Is that incorrect?

The leaked firmware and root have nothing to do with s off. Did you do the juopunut bear s off in the last 2 days? If not these will not work.
