Problem with SMS BACKUP & RESTORE >> after upgrade from 4.3 to Kitkat 4.4.2...???

I've upgraded my wifes S4 - from the old 4.3 rom version to Kitkat XXUFNE7
( STOCK XXUFNE7 FIRMWARE +ROOT + CWM-6.0.4.6.(ODIN ) >> full wipe >>> flash Arrow ROM v14.0.0 )

I'm facing a weird problem is with the App SMS BACKUP & RESTORE

The backup is stored at my external SD card - as always >>> choosing to restore the last batch >>> seeing the process for 6000 messages +
geting the 100% Ok Message....

and no SMS appearing at the Go SMS app or at the stock/regular app?

Tried it twice + restart - nothing!

Has someone been facing this problem ? after upgrading from 4.3 to KitKat/4.4.2 ?

4.4.2 needs specific permissions for SD card, it may cause issues...

Ok.....How Can I apply this special permissions ?
(never had problems with note 3

)

I've also tried to move the Backup files to the main sd card - didn't help

Go to Play Store, input in search terms: SDCard KitKat, and pick one of options

Google voice search stuck on "Initializing" ?
for example on WAZE GPS? it takes for ever after I finish to say the street
Do you have a clue?
