Bob Freking’s concept involves the announcement of Google Wireless, the company’s own carrier with cheap 4G plans. Also, know that the phones with support for this newfound carrier will lack bloatware and will be thinner, lacking a SIM card, that will actually be built in. Google Nexus 2013 features a 4.8 inch AMOLED display with a 1600 x 900 pixel resolution, a 1.6 GHz Nvidia Tegra 4 quad core processor and a 13.1 megapixel HD camera. The device is suppoed to be sold by Google for $299 unlocked and for $49 locked on Google Wireless.

This “Nexus 2″ runs Android Key Lime Pie, with an updated version of Google Now and G Network, that offers free messaging and calls to other Android 4.2 phones. By the way Key Lime Pie is actually Android 4.2. The phone also integrates the Google Fiber service and as far as design goes, Nexus 2013 has some cool lines at the back, that light up depending on the notification you get. This lighting system is actually the famous logo of the Nexus family. Everything is covered with polycarbonate and Gorilla Glass and other specs include a 2 megapixel front camera and 3000 mAh battery. Beautiful and brilliant work Bob!

Google is going to be a carrier now? Who's towers they using because they sure as hell don't have a network of their own? Unless the plans are unlimited I don't care how good the phone is. I don't care how mucher slower Sprints 3G and 4G are at least I can own a $200-$300 high end phone and not be a bandwidth monitoring idiot chasing wifi signals around or paying redicuously overpriced tiered data. If Google wants to dominate the mobile market they have to offer unlimited at a fair price.

Looks like the God of battery drain on smartphones IMO. Oh, and let's just throw capacitive keys out the window, they weren't giving us much success right guys? (Sarcasm). Pretty soon, we'll be able to run a full laptop OS on our phones as these processors start reaching 2GHz+

I really like the design but it's too big for me. A new phone in the size of the Nexus S would be great. :fingers-crossed:

The major downside, if this is real, is the lack of sim slot. What about people overseas?

Google launches things worldwide that works only in USA... (google now, offline maps on actual google map version, for ex.)

Is it safe to say that probally there is gonna be a international version and a "google fiber" version?

price, phone, plan...I'd go for it!!! That is one sexy phone!! If the lights on the back can change color (and if it were real) I'd snatch one up before it even touched the shelf!!

Definitely, BY FAR the nicest looking nexus yet!!!

Looks ugly and really tacky with the lights at the back. And $299 unlocked? No way.
