I wanted to uninstall Google maps because I read here that it causes wakelocks even when frozen. Sure enough after freezing I'm getting a periodic "unfortunately maps has stopped." I know there's plenty of alternatives to maps and probably latitude too, my question is if Google now would still completely function if I uninstalled maps and replaced it with a third party app. Would it require a latitude alternative as well? And by function completely I know of course I'll still know whenever the Phillies are playing and how sunny it is, I mean will things like "Your destination is thirteen minutes away with light traffic conditions." How will I ever know how long its gonna take me to get home?? How would it know to use the hypothetical third party app if its not preconfigured to do so? Curious.
