This can be flashed on any HBoot version so can be used to downgrade from 2.14 to 1.09

Ahhh it's so nice to see the beautiful splash screen without the hideous red text and loading bar... Awesome job Liam! It worked perfect for me... Was on original 1.09 hboot, used the modded 1.09 hboot

Hmm... The 1.09 one isn't working for me. I gotand now my phone isn't booting... Let me see what I can do but I hope this didn't soft brick my device. Although I can't see why it would... All that was done was a cache clear and then a failed hboot flash.Code:error: cannot load 'RemoveText-1.09.zip': Unknown error
Maybe a bad download? Everyone else seems to have no issues...
Maybe redownload and try again...
Well, I almost had a heart attack there for a second. It seems like something messed up the cache partition, because after about 5 minutes my phone wouldn't get past boot animation (CM10.1 usually takes less than a minute) so I go into TWRP and try to wipe dalvik-cache and get an error that says repeatedly "error: unable to mount cache partition", or something along those lines. Last ditch effort, I format cache in TWRP. Success. Wipe dalvik-cache. Success. Fwew. Not sure what happened, but I'll try again once my phone finishes "optimizing apps". Just to be clear... I don't need to extract the file from the zip, correct? Also, if I changed the name of the zip to something easy like newhboot.zip that wouldn't affect anything, right? That's not what I did, but I think I may have typed it in incorrectly, so I was just wondering.

1) Seems like the fastboot cache wipe might be formatting it in something other the ext2....the wipe in twrp seemed to fix it for me too.
2) Try dropping the zip file into the directory your command line says (i.e c:\Users\[username]) (I got the same error)
so than doing this also removes the loading bar that appears when you reboot into recovery? Is there any way to keep it?
Since we ripped the new 2.15 hboot from the European OTA, I thought I would create a no red text splash hboot for those who just want to remove the red splash, and a plugin for those who want to add some swag to their bootloader screen.
I have already tested it myself.
No red text hboot: http://d-h.st/toS
Plugin: http://d-h.st/4pR
this mod works great. used it with 2.15 and it worked no problem. is a mod for 2.18 in the works. had just run the ruu and the red text is back.
thanks for the mod
