Your right, I absolutely didn't notice that..Wow. Here's some screens for proof too.
Edit: Turns out, I've lost root privilege's. I tried using SOC, and it work's temporarily. But as you restart the phone there's still no root.
@Pralinos, But according to tripin's post when he checked on adb shell, It show's the phone is rooted. And shows R/W. Problem is the app's aren't recognizing that its rooted.
Can't it be possible to be rooted and not having BusyBox at a suitable place?
I'm a little confused aswell. I wen't about playing with SOC to check if it would get rooted. And it gave successful root display. But titanium refused to work despite saying it was rooted. So i rebooted again and tried to launch Root Explorer, but that failed too. I confirmed with adb aswell and it shows that it is rooted, I don't think the busybox is a problem, It's probably being read from the wrong area perhaps.
Really strange. On my phone with a SOC rooting, ES root explorer, mybackup root and gps aids are working.
I can't really vouch for that, But theoretically if you swap internal memory with external_sd. Skin set CWM to backup into external_sd, Even thought it says Sdcard. *He mentioned it in his first post* The phone's internal memory is about 1.5GB, In terms of usable memory. Backups usually end up about 2.4GB *as shown on my previous screenshot* So the backup would end up reading your phones internal memory as external memory. As someone previously posted that as he reached datadata in backup phase [He, like you is a custom vold.fstab user], Phone probably didn't have enough Internal phone memory and aborted the backup process. So yeah. Although I might have to prove that theory.
Edit: Turns out in the FROYO, If you use a vold.fstab for swap, The same error occurs and runs out of internal memory space [By this point it's safe to assume datadata already crosses the 1.5GB benchmark] . Flashing won't be a problem. But the problem occurs when you attempt to backup all data. But if you wish to flash it for recovery purposes, It's safe as are most of Skin's works.
has anybody observed after flashing backup works perfectly but we are not able to connect mobile to computer in 'data storage mode'. But if we want to connect in 'samsung kies' mode then it connect perfectly...!!! Is there any solution???
Yes, I did my nand and now I go back to the alpha release until the problem is solved.
Me too going back to alpha..till the bug is fixed... Hope we will have the fixed version soon..
please ... try to remove su from system/bin and Superuser.apk from system/app.... then reboot... I never have that bug.... but if you preferi will remove root

OK will try it and report here...
Tried your instructions.. Dint help...
I think for the time being release the CWM without rooting option..
heimdall flash --normal-boot normalboot.img
run_program("/sbin/busybox", "mount", "-t", "auto", "/dev/block/stl9", "/system");
dd if=/dev/block/bml7 of=/sdcard/normalboot.img
I have fixed the issue with "sd-ext". The CWM for XXKPE is now fully functional . Will post this soon.
P.S.: This version is not EXT4 compatible.
