Looks like you only accepted the first part of the latest OTA. The update was split into 2 parts; the first updated to 2.08.506.1 followed by an immediate second update to 3.06.605.4. I would suggest checking to see if you can update to 3.06 (under settings ->software update->check new) before attempting s-off. You should then be able to use rumrunner.

Hmm... Interesting... I haven't used rumrunner, so I'm not sure I can offer good advice. The only guess I have would be similar to what I ran into with moonshine. I had to run it several times (4 or 5) with a factory reset between each run. It would always error out. I just factory reset, then started moonshine again. It eventually worked. The only other suggestion would be to make sure you have the right drivers installed. Here's the toolkit I used for drivers: http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2219175
(Make sure you have htc sync manager uninstalled).

Hope this helps. If not, I'd suggest posting under one of the other s-off rumrunner threads to see if anyone else is having this issue.

Oh. I assume you just unlocked. And want to stay that way. RegawMOD Bootloader Customizer will allow you to replace the flagged screen with a customizable screen or stock bootloader screen

I've noticed at the top of the bootloader menu it says tampered and the startup splash screen says this is for development only. It did not do this with moonshine, just annoying. Thanks for the hard work on rumrunner anyway.

One option is to RUU back and unlock from moonshine. Then flash the Rom you want. Worked for me.

Ah haaa..... I found the method! I had my phone all updated and working great with CM11 then lost 4G and went to Verizon to get a new SIM card only to have them break my phone.... (they used a thumbtack to pop out my SIM card and now it doesn't seat) so I just got the replacement phone they sent and was worried with the new update I wouldn't be able to get back to S-Off.... my fears have been relieved, I have rumrunner to use in a month now!

Stock 3.06.605.4 trying to use RumRunner and it fails every time. Anyone have any ideas?
Downloaded new package multiple times
I have ran as administrator every time
Installed the drivers using DNA toolkit
Checked ADB and Fastboot
Cleanboot my machine so nothing else is running.
Keep getting "FATAL: Download updated package at www . rumrunner . us"
Tried to factory reset and run again, done this about 10 times so far and still getting this message.

Are there any logs to look at so I can see what is actually failing?

I have used process explorer and cannot find any reason why the process isn't working. Is there any logging I can enable to determine the cause for the failure?

Been trying to see if there is support on the #rumrunner chat but there seems to be no one there, sent message to beanup and haven't heard any response. I am at a loss of what I can do at this point.

Same here ? S-off - locked

I was able to get mine to unlock and be s-off but unfortunately you will have to revert back to stock first I assume thats what you did already then took all the updates then ran rumrunner to get to your current state.

So do the revert back to stock the moonshine or rumrunner way here as I will post but don't worry about the locking part because you are already locked but you have to flash the stock H-boot and then run the Ruu to get back to stock NOW THE MOST IMPORTANT PART IS YOU HAVE TO AFTER YOU BOOT UP INTO STOCK THE MOST IMPORTANT PART THAT I SKIPPED LAST TIME IS OPEN A COMMAND PROMPT AND DO THIS

2. After RUU completes and phone reboots, make sure usb debugging is on and in charge only mode and open cmd prompt
3. Run the following:

Code:
adb devices (your device should be listed)

adb reboot bootloader

fastboot devices (your device should be listed)

fastboot oem writesecureflag 3

fastboot reboot-bootloader

*verify you are locked s-on

fastboot rebootThat's it. You should now be pre-OTA stock S-On. Reboot your phone and allow it to update through the OTA updater. You are now out of box stock.

Now after you take all the updates and run Rumrunner you should be Unlocked and S-off

Let me know if this worked for you as it did for me

Thanks man ! i will try it but the RUU that I am running is already the vzw OTA sense 5/4.2.2 so no need to go back all the way to stock 4.1
because am no with Verizon any more so cant take otas updates. i didnt writesecureflag3 ..... let see

Edit: CONFIRMING....after run RUU _3.06.605.4 and applied writeSecureflag3 method, Rumrunner Unlocked and S-Off the phone :victory:

Wow, finally got it!!

I just successfully ran the universal version on my dlx. I was on an official cm11 nightly build, unlocked and rooted. Both times it read that it was unsuccessful and the kernel needed to be unsecured. But I went to the bootloader and it says soff. I loaded the latest nightly, kernel and all, from recovery, So I thank you.

    is released for 3.06.605.4

visit rumrunner.us and be sure to use device specific download for dlx (not the universal version).

    to summarize options for dlx:

software version 1.xx - use facepalm
software version 2.xx - use moonshine (2.06 version of moonshine DOES work with 2.07 devices)
software version 3.xx - use rumrunner

how many times can we pwn the same device? time will tell.

Had it done last night but was too lazy to update the site :p

GLad to see this happening, Only problem is Im still running Tranquil sense 5 Rom and have not found another sense 5 Rom that I like enough to switch to!!

Maybe all this new stuff coming will give them something to work on and release. I just really love the theme and dont think I can settle for less.

Honestly still Feel the DNA is Verizons best phone.

Yep, tried 2 different cables on 2 different laptops. I'll figure it out sooner or later I guess, but I really appreciate the effort.
