Let's say I needed to return the tablet to the store still have 15 days and I wanted to put it back to stock. Just asking..

Well if you have CWM recovery installed, there's no way you're getting it back to stock, b/c the bootloader is forever unlocked and the warranty is forever void. Even if you were able to get rid of CWM, you can't relock the bootloader. Might as well just brick it, if you're going to return it, and say it stopped working. That way they don't try to resell it to someone who unknowingly buys it without a warranty.

NEW CWM v5.8.2.0

Also available in RM

Apparently faster Backup times
edit: Backup times about 10x faster

*possible kernel backup/restore working
Will test soon
Edit: Pretty sure boot img restore works! Testing more thoroughly
Edit: Confirmed, this is what I did:

Backup Virtuous-> Wipe-> Install CM9-> Reboot (allow kernel flash) -> Wipe -> Restore Virtuous-> Boot into Virtuous to make sure all is working-> working!

not working... I installed the blob yesterday and it has the old recovery.
I installed rom manager from the market, clicked on update recovery and nothing happens.

What am I missing?

I had to install the "non-rom manger version" that you can install with Viper's Prime Time Root tool. Then I was able to update to the "official" Rom Manager via the Rom Manager app.... don't know why????

op should be updated:

1) all users should update cwm to 5.8.x.x
2) it doesn't support external sdcard yet, so either code that yourselves and submit to koush, or bear with it and keep your flashables on internal sdcard.

And above all doesn't handle correctly /system partition before flashing and can brick your device.

'OUTDATED CWM DON'T USE' would be more simple

At least we would need a bit more details: flashing what? Why posting in the 5.5.04 CWM thread while speaking of 5.8.2.0 ?

Too blurry post to be helped.

Sorry i'll try to give you more information.
First i use this post because i found people here who had the same probleme in the CWM : "file not found" when i try tu flash a rom !
The second problem, is that i can't use ADB... But i'm not at the right place ;)
Thanx for your answer

    Hi!

Seeing as Asus released the unlock tool for the Transformer Prime, we made a Clockworkmod Recovery image for it.

    tfpcwm5.jpg

    One caveat:
This uses the internal sdcard for the Prime. So you won't be able to mount usb mass storage, or use the MicroSD. But that should not be too much of an issue.

Download link and instructions on Androidroot.mobi.

    Enjoy!

PrimeTime v4.5 will install the Asus tool for you (if you haven't already) and then flash CWM :)
