Question: I couldn't get it to work, did you do this on AP fastboot mode? can you please provide the steps?

Normal boot mode. make sure you have access to your phone in adb Follow the steps in the OP. Some are saying to install the samsung driver also, But I just had the Moto drivers, ran the install.bat and followed the prompts. worked perfect.

All 3 msm8960 phones [xt907, xt925/6 & mb866] have always used the same low level exploits this one is no different. Works on one, works on all.

This is very exciting news.... But..

Can anybody else verify that this method works? I clicked the link, and then clicked the other link and noticed that it lead me to root instructions for the galaxy s4 which makes me a tad nervous, seeing as this phone is not an s4 lol
I would love to try this and would love to have root access on my phone but would like to see more people saying that it in fact works before I go and try it and take a chance of messing things up (not that I couldn't fix it, just lazy.. )

All 3 msm8960 phones [xt907, xt925/6 & mb866] have always used the same low level exploits & this SHOULD be no different. Works on one, works on all.

BTW I never knew how to interpret the BL codes:
Device is LOCKED. Status Code: 0
Device is UNLOCKED. Status Code: 1
Device is LOCKED. Status Code: 2
Device is UNLOCKED. Status Code: 3

Anyone know?

Most of the current ROMs out will not work with SS. Like Avi said, you'll need to use something that is based off of stock.

The ONLY one you can use on a locked bootloader is SafeStrap. You can't use an actual recovery replacement unless your BL is unlocked.
