Well....can't test right now..but I think they don't work very well. S2e is best what we have with custom roms and link2sd for stock.

Code:

1. Flash Clean .283 with FlashTool

Correct me if I'm wrong but is the following correct?:
1. Put the *.ftf file to C:\Flashtool\Firmwares
2. Start Flashtool, click the "Lighting" icon.
3. Select "Flashmode" and OK
4. The *.ftf file should be displayed as firmware in the "Select a Firmware list"?

For me the .283 (Xperia_NEO_V-HAIDA-MT11_4.0.1.A0.283_Generic.ftf) file doesn't show up on the list. But when I put any other (.42 for example) firmware there then it shows up.

Am I doing something wrong or is the file corrupted?

I can open "Ne0V_4.0.2.A.0.42" with 7-zip and see all the files, but 7-zip fails to open "Xperia_NEO_V-HAIDA-MT11_4.0.1.A0.283_Generic"

Yes you are correct...but yes...about .ftf file I don't know...because I have Neo.
Try rename file name maybe.

Because you can't get 1 app work your switching rom. Comoon

I'm used this program about 500 times...with different phones..different roms and it always working.

Make sd backup...full format...get Linux..make 2 partition.
1st FAT32 with your size.
2nd partitsion EXT3/4 Max size 1Gb/1024Mb.

Put card back to phone...make 2 reboot.
Open s2e app..go settings...mount as ext4, write/read buffer 2Mb and Again reboot.
After reboot open s2e and it works.
Make your choice..reboot and your done

will try it 2mrw its 1.14am here going to sleep now.. btw cant i use any other app like S2E i have use a2sd DT and link2sd withoout any prob and reason for me to switch the rom is that i 300+mb is not enough for me i play lots of game so i need to get an extra partition else i have hear my neo v screaming low memory

Now backing up my sd card will try everything later should i also format /system /data in cwm and then flash miui

Tried those ftf files and yes they dont appear in Flashtool.
Because FBI closed "megaupload" (there was working .283 ftf for NeoV)...
i remove links now.
If someone will be kind and give me link with good .283 ftf for NeoV.

But dont worry....you can flash MIUI with .42 .62 too....and working fine.
I recommended .283 only because it has best battery life

Well I already am using .42 with MIUI. Getting better battery life was the only reason I was looking towards reflashing.

hi i have created the partition like you have said me lyk this only ... i hope now s2e will work fine

edit
i flash miui rom
now am unable to mount my ext4
even at cwm am not able to see mont /sd-ext option
i followed you inst. for s2e and after enabling MOUNT AS EXT4 and Setting the read buffer "Reboot"
i can only move download cache not dalvik cache
any other solution

starting the s2e app is showing me a faded superuser request when i press anykey its gone.. and when i check superuse app its shows its already allowed

hi i have did following steps to install MIUI 2.1.20 On My Neo V

1. Flashed 2.3.4 India .42 Rom
2. Rooted It With DooMLoRD_v3_ROOT-zergRush-busybox-su.zip (http://xdaforums.com/show....php?t=1320350)
3. Install ClockWorkMod Recovery 5.0.2.6
(Step 3 Of This Link -> http://xdaforums.com/show....php?t=1387832)
4. installled your kernel
5. install you rom wait for 15 mins reboot install camera fix
6. followed the S2E procedure but am not able to enable it.

now even link2sd doesn't recognize my ext4 partition

can u suggest me anyother kernel i thiink the problem is with the kernel or i just want to test

Well i got a smal problem here :/
I downloaded the .238 firmware
MD5 Hash 4AD9C9AC8858AB92A465C35FA2CCB430
And im unable to see it in the firmwares folder even tho its copied in the folder
I downloaded the file 3 times \using DAP Chrome and IE
And all 3 times it's failed to show up :/
Any help mates ?

can i simply flash 2.1.20 zip over current firmware??or i have to flash kernal first den wipe data nd then apply 2.1.20 zip??

You can flash .283 via WotanServer too!

Yes you can flash over.
But i recommend "clean" flash

But it works "both" way

And if you already using MIUI...then kernel you dont need flash.

Download WotanServer....Run..connect phone flashmode...hold "back"button while connect USB..next choose FW version 2.3.2/2.3.3/2.3.4..global, baltic etc..NEXT ok.

Then wotan downloading nessesary files..and flashing starting.
