mine was doing that, too. Uninstalled and reinstalled and all is well now.
That did it! Thanks! I had done everything but that.

Nothing to do with the kernel - it's build.prop. build.prop is identifying the device as something other than I777 (probably I9100). The updater is checking for an I777.
Change build.prop, reboot, and flash. Or remove the asserts from the ZIP if you are SURE that you have an I777.
Hey can I flash the newest nighty over RC1? Thanks in advance.

It shows up but i can't install it because it says its not available in my country (country being the U.S.)
Can you tell me where the appropriate code is for the CM9 I777 kernel that enables the CarDock Analog Audio? I was hoping it could be ported to the GNex. Thanks!
I've used CM9 for a few months now and decided to give the recent official AT&T release a go (I followed the steps provided in the thread owned by nakedninja42. Basically it is AJ Newkirk kernel and the rest stock).
On CM9, spelling errors were underlined in red. Is this an ICS feature, or was this added by CM9 developers?
Is it possible to even extract just the CM9 keyboard and install it on stock ICS?!
Might be best to start another thread or PM him... this is the i777 CM9 thread.
Look for fsa9480.c somewhere. I can't help you beyond this.Entropy512:
I have moved my phone from the I777 to the Galaxy Nexus GSM. I have a car audio dock that I built for my old I777. It does not seem to work on the GNex. I know that the two phones share the same USB switching chip (fsa9480). I'd think it'd be possible for the phone to output audio in the same fashion. However, I'm making no progress. Here is the relevant output from the kmsg (I was asking Adam Outler about it on G+):

Whether I respond depends on the nature of the question and my load. Some PMs are just so ridiculously stupid that they aren't worth responding to (such as ones that ask questions already answered in a FAQ or sticky post somewhere), but I usually respond to most unless I'm overloaded, at which point stuff gets dropped.I'm aware of the thread. I thought I read that he doesn't respond to PM.

Unless I'm mistaken, this is an ICS feature that Samsung and/or AT&T decided to remove for some stupid reason. I've seen Samsung-based ROMs for the international GSII (and some for ours that are based on it) that have added it back. But I don't believe it's as simple as just pulling out the keyboard and it's not exclusively a CM9 feature. You might be able to get some direction by PMing one of the folks who've added it back to a Samsung-based ROM?

Anyone experiencing random shut down/reboot with 7/3 build? Happened to me 2 times today.
Nope. But my battery life isn't great. 1:15 on screen and 19 mins on voice calls.

Because this "bug" hasn't impacted any developers and we've got a ton of other things to fix. What I don't quite get is why there are nightly builds of this ROM but no fix yet to the audio bug.
Overall it is a pretty sweet ROM, and compared to the leaked ATT ICS ROM it kicks ass. The att rom is a bugging bloat ridden piece of crap.
The audio bug impacts the ROM as a daily driver, so much works right about the ROM but this bug in particular makes it a pain to use. Being able to receive a text while listening to streaming music and receiving a notification and have the music return to the previous sound level just does not seem like too much to ask.
Great. So 4/20 ****S **** UP AGAIN!
More mount point changes? Now all my gameloft apps that I JUST fixed last night are redownloading app data again. Same with my dropbox, as well as my spotify AGAIN.
Why are they doing this!!!??? THIS IS 2 TIMES I'M gonna have to RESTORE to get my **** right again. I mean, I get the first swap of mount points. It was needed to match other devices, but it's royally screwed my device. AGAIN!
Maybe some warning in PLAIN ENGLISH is in order. I'm about to give up on CM9.
