Hey gang, sorry for the delays. I have been asked about many of my mods, from the s-pens to the rugged case, etc., but haven't had much spare time to take photos and upload, etc. I have been crazy busy, but, will try to set aside time in the future to make posts on them.....
For this mod, basic soldering skills will be needed. First I desoldered the contacts from the circuit board. Then, I had to figure out the proper new location. I cut out a rectangular hole in the new location. Also, in the battery compartment, there are two little tabs on the sidewalls that won't let the battery sit right unless you modify them. The contacts were rewired and then epoxied into position. I wanted to make the charger as small as possible, so, I chopped off the whole front section that usually cradles the phone since I would never use it again because of the thickness of my phone with the zerolemon. I removed the lid and covered the holes where the hinges used to be with black plastic. Then, I repurposed part of the lid to make a cover for the cradle section that I had cut off. Next, I needed a way to know of the charging status. Unmodified, the zerolemon battery covers the status LED, rendering it useless. At first I was going to relocate the LED. Then, I figured out the exact location of the LED and then drilled a sight hole on the side of the housing. It works perfect and easily visible when charging the zerolemon. When I am able to make a full post later, I will show you pics of it visible while charging the zerolemon. To polish off the mod, I made labels. In the meantime, here is a pic.....
