Exactly. Soonest possible update IMO from LG wouldn't even go into effect for another 6-8 months from now due to each carrier having their own way with releasing the updates. That's IF LG tried putting an update out 2 months from now, add another 6 months to that via carriers before release. Within 6 months i'm sure the dev community will be flying and already 5 steps ahead of LG's update, if any
. Only thing Devs CAN'T do is update the firmware or OS to say 4.3, etc without LG officially doing this.
