If you set it to nothing or 127.0.0.1 (meaning the phone itself), ChevronWP7 will not unlock your phone again until you reset your phone. This is because ChevronWP7 is spoofing developerservices.windowsphone.com.

What ChevronWP7 does is run a secure http webserver on 443 to handle and send a response from the phone to query, hey should I be unlocked. The address of developerservices.windowsphone.com is spoofed on the local computer in the host. file to redirect it to ChevronWP7's webserver.

My recommendation is to change the urls to like developerservices.unlock.me which doesn't exist like this:

really wanted to stop it relocking. takes 5-30 min to unlock again, since its so random in wanting to let me relock.

I think you can prevent locking by putting your phone into airplane mode before you sync it and leaving it in airplane mode while Zune is open and you're plugged in. This worked for my Samsung Focus before I used a new regedit

this key cause notification & sound bug when changed
this is why i have removed it from the 1st page.

Registry Tweak gone awry.

My brother decided to try to add an additional reg to his list of accents on his Focus using the aforementioned regeditor. since then, he no longer has access to the accent customizing app, reg edit, and the theme settings are blacked out. all marketplace and sideload downloaded apps stopped working. is the only ramification to restore the phone? or is there a way i can get to his registry files via my pc to delete that extra file?

Hi. Thanks for the great work. I was able to fix my Caller ID issue, but when I try to modify the tweak above, it says something like: Error, unable to set registry value "MaxUnsignedApp".

Excellent work!​

Thanks a bunch, ceesheim! This has been one of the most common requests from HD7 owners that I've seen.

However, to go one further:
Set the value of DefaultScope to "" (empty string) and pressing the Search button in IE will start the built-in Bing app on the phone (rather than navigating to a web page). Basically, if this field is empty, IE reacts to the Search button the same as everything else (except Marketplace).

Another entry of possible interest (don't know how much, if anything, it does):
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Browserui\Settings\Tabs
MaxAllowed
Integer value, defaults to 6.

Has anyone found any HD7 camera settings in registry? Would be interesting to see what could be changed.

Im still waiting for HTC to fix the red camera issue :|

    OEMAlarms << for Alarms
    OEMRingtones] << for ringtones < as Alarms

    in these 3 folders add "new value" and then :

    Value Name: name.m4a or name.mp3 or name.wav or name.wma << name=name of your audio file that pasted in WINDOWS folder.

    Value Data: enter a name for your audio that you want to be shown.

    Value Type: String

    then click "ok" to set it and go to Setting>ringtones+sounds and see

    I tested with .aac , .amr , .m4a , .ac3 , .aiff , .flac , .mka , .mp2 and .ogg formats but just .m4a worked as SMS Alert.
    I try it to add a small .mp4 video as ringtone but did not work.
    I think if we can add more formats for Ringtones Category it will be possible to have video as ringtone.

    (important) If you use a long music as sms alert for example you can not stop playing it so you must shutdown your phone.

    I think with this registry tweak all applications related to Ringtones and RingtoneMaker and ... must be change.
