LOL ..
Somebody was bound to do it ..
I'm just saving them the trouble .....g

+1 for a new Saurom once JB OFF is out? I'd consider starting a bounty, but I'll have to check over the XDA rules to see if they've been updated. But yes, I miss saurom dearly. There are similar ROMs with similar feature sets, but it just isn't the sane as good 'old Saurom.

Very true ....
Having flashed nearly every rom for the note, I just keep coming back to the good old GB Saurom build.
It has never let me down. And my device runs superb on GB anyway.

I'd very much support development on this build ....and a bounty is a fine idea ...IMHO....g

You know what am coming back to GB.. has all the perks of snote ....and stability is awesome I'll bring all the knowledge of pie and theming to GB and come back to the speed and stability .... well at least till 4.2 shows its face ....I'm back boys......too bad there isn't any development in this anymore . Sadness

Do I need to odin GB than flash this or I can just flash this from any rom I'm using. Also what is the best kernel to pair with this.

Thanks.

Everything on Saurom just works ....except the flashlight bug....LOL
You turn it on, and the phone forgets it's on, then you have to turn it on again to turn it off...

It's probably the jkay mods and not the rom....but minor..

I have been laughed at a few times when telling folks that I use GB more than anything else.
I guess it is old software, but when it works so well. Why run something else ?

I've always believed that the move to ICS was flawed, as much stability was lost in the upgrade...at least for me.
ICS usually lags, and simply has bugs.
Luckily we had Flappjaxxx, bigfau, and our other skilled devs to give ICS a much needed boost in performance, but without them, ICS simply sucks .

My best speeds and stability are with a stripped stock and OC'd GB build.
I run this one (running it to type this with smart keyboard pro)...for the volume wake feature. Were it not for that, I'd be running stock rooted.

Let em laugh.....I'm running GB...and even after JB drops...I'll likely be back here anyway. As Saurom, and it's stock counterpart, give me exactly what I want....a fast and reliable build, without any reason to change....g

P.S. We need a developer with an itch for a retro-pet project ....g

Download the Saurom full rom
Then the 7.1
Then the att fix
Then any other mods like volume wake ....etc.
Make sure they are on your device...

Then boot into recovery, and full wipe The device.(cache, dalvik, system, and DATA !!!
Then flash the above files you downloaded....in that order (and your flash counter reset .zip if you care about it)(can be done later)

After flashing, wipe cache and dalvik cache again..(this prevents the play store bug, and cleans the build)

Reboot and make it yours...
This rom is full of custom options, and will take a few hours to set up the way you like it. It is already running an OC kernel, and supports UV/OV...has
Init.d scripting support, BLN support, and a host of goodies.

You'll soon see why I love this build. It had arguably, the best development team, and most work done to it....of any rom we currently have.
It's a smooth and steady keeper build.

Just ask me if you have questions....as I use this build for my DD.

NOTE : it also contains the ATT Ril libs, and current APN settings...so it's plug and play....
Enjoy ....g

Blaze modem is your only option if you are using this device on the T-Mobile network.
If you have ATT, then the options are much greater....g

What are you looking at as far as battery life and what's your kernel setup and what kernel tuner you use.

:D

If you underclock while screen on it will be even better. And not to mention i hit over 4000 on quadrant not to say that it means anything

No prob bob.... Not sure if thatsbwhat you wanted to here but i gave a little insight

I've been underclocking lately and it has been pretty much running the same for me but giving me about a extra 2 hours. Yesterday I had 6 1/2 hours phone time and 4 hours on screen time. I can't complain about that being as though I use my phone all day.

Thanks for your insight.

As ,much as I have loved this projekt and have not updated it after saying I woudl so many times , with ICS source being out .. I have to let this one go , links will stay live and GB will always be in my heart for all that I ve learned on this OS , but with source and Jelly bean just around the corner , GB is like froyo or eclair , a thing of the past ..

Thx for all the support to all users running this rom .
