I'm glad this review has damaged their credibility, hopefully the average reader can see how subpar the "review" is and wait for real reviews.

one final comment about the verge review

he ends up the video saying the HTC One is the gold standard for android devices, maybe he just have a problem with android full stop. judging by how many iPhones i read in the review, im inclined to believe so

Every review will compare an android flagship with iPhone. I counted exact 4 times he mentioned iPhone in the article.

What would you call a review/reviewer if the rival flagship is mentioned exactly 20 times through the review?

Definitely disappointed with The Verge, I started following them not so long ago as they caught my eye with great design and supposedly quality material. This review was superficial at most, and for probably one of the most important devices of the year. Unsubscribed and removed the app. Shame...

So the latest rumors on the s4 are pointing to a 3D camera and possible 3D display, interesting from Samsung, not exactly innovative since HTC have already done it, but at least it's something different..

OK people, a new device has rocked up to the GLBenchmark sites scoring 38.6 FPS in Egypt HD @ 1080p both on & offscreen. The device is a Sharp test phone running a Qualcomm 1.7 GHz / Adreno 320 combo, yep its a Snapdragon 600, just like the HTC One, which only scores 34 FPS.

Snapdragon 600 - Sharp 38.6 FPS
Snapdragon 600 - HTC 34 FPS

DON'T PANIC, comparing the low-level test results, the One is actually getting better numbers on certain low level tests, but the Sharp is running what looks like newer drivers & 4.2.1. As no Snapdragon 600 devices have been confirmed with LPDDR3 RAM, the difference is likely to be driver related. Now a HTC One @ 34 FPS, is a bit pink dumbbells, but the same device @ nearer 40 FPS is much more powerlifter:laugh:

HTC, stop making excuses, update your software stack to the the latest driver binaries and reap the benefits:cool:

awesome find the turbo, yea im pretty confident we will hit 41 easily in dev

Who listens to Verge anyways...
Wait for reviews from Anandtech, GSMArena and Pocketnow; people who actually give thought to their reviews.

Don't forget Erica griffin , she does great 1h longs reviews.
