[Q] FSTRIM not working on my N7
My Nexus 7 (running CM 10.2-20130821-NIGHTLY-grouper) has been running ridiculously slow for a really long time now. I regularly clean out the apps and stuff I don't use to try and keep it light, but that seems to have virtually no effect on speed. It's gotten so bad that I don't even really use it any more.
I was reading about FSTRIM and LagFix, so I thought I'd give it a shot.
When I run LagFix, it says my device doesn't support FSTRIM. When I go into ADB shell, I can't run fstrim from there either:
shell@android:/ $ su
3|shell@android:/ $ fstrim -v /cache
fstrim -v /cache
fstrim: can't open '/cache': Permission denied
1|shell@android:/ $ fstrim -v /system
fstrim -v /system
fstrim: FITRIM: Operation not permitted
1|shell@android:/ $ fstrim -v /data
fstrim -v /data
fstrim: can't open '/data': Permission denied
I assume FSTRIM has a good chance of fixing my incredible lag and make my device usable again. Any ideas why it isn't working and what I need to do to get it to run?
