I love slim way, just installed, pity I wasn't able to start from a dirty flash (I tried with latest cm but didn't work)

anyway after a full wipe :cyclops: (at least I saved & restored apk from /data folder) all seems to work as expected, the camera app is the best one I found... very stable & worked flawless... reminded me original htc camera app :D

ps: for those interested in commands to 1st backup apk & 2nd restore later on a wiped rom

1st command (backup):

adb shell "tar cvz -f /sdcard/backup_data_app.tgz -C /sdcard/ /data/app"

2nd command (restore):

adb shell "tar xvz -C / -f /sdcard/backup_data_app.tgz"

so:

1. backup apks (1st cmd)
2. reboot + wipe & install slim rom
3. wait new installation come up then restore apks (2nd cmd)
4. reboot & you'll find old apks, of course they must be reconfigured from scratch but at least you don't have to re-download everything

Why get all hacky when there are so many good backup apps out there that will gladly fetch your apps data too? Eg TiBu and Mybackup root

Welcome on board :)

7FD0E6FE17204E953FD8E8B868EB1BAF is my md5 with fix

did you use winzip?

If it's status 0, it's the recovery incompatibility. If it's something else, you probably compressed the ROM while zipping. Give twrp a go

I used my phone, es file explorer to zip it as I don't have access to a computer at the moment

Found an app (7zipper) will give that a Try
Still the same, not flashing

Not yet. I'll add it on the todo list :good:

DPI should be 182. The FC is weird, but shouldn't be worrying, I'll look into it. 4ext is not compatible yet, use the TWRP from UnoRoms or the one in my downloads folder.
I'm trying to use the laptop, as I'm restoring the phone back to my formal rom. thanks
Just uploaded a recovery flashable version of twrp. If you want to use 4ext, you need to wait until it gets updated

@dexter93 I saw you changed something about gps in your device tree, may I ask what differences that makes? On other roms I have problems with gps not being accurate and somehow not following my position. I don't have time atm to test your rom, that's why I ask.

Hello guys, I've just recently found the pyramid in the drawer and started messing with it again.. so here's what I've been working on.

You get: All the latest SlimKat greatness, with @Flemmard's kernel. This is currently a WIP, as I'm working on making it completely bug free. It IS on par with Flemmard's trees and has various fixes, improvements and tweaks from me. Also worth noting is that it IS fairly stable.

I'd like to give a shout out to all the guys who have kept the sensation alive maintaining the AOSP trees. Without them, this wouldn't be possible, nor I would had been motivated to chime in and help. You rock guys

I Luke that. You can go to settings -> display and raise fontsize. I've set it to big.

Got one minor problem. Music was lagging/stuttering when mobile data was changing from E/G to H/4g (I've been going by train). I use Apollo player. Don't know if its a ROM or app problem though
    Your logs are fantastic.

    /sarcasm

A few updates for you guys

The good news: twrp seems to be working fine.

The bad news: I forgot to include the HTC dumlock code, broke S-ON support.

The good news: I'm building a new one with it.

The bad news: Need someone to test.

The good news: I found madmaxx82.

The bad news: He was busy..

The good news: but he's updating 4ext.

The bad news: He's still testing it.

The good news: You guys are reporting bugs!

The bad news: Some exist, some not. I have no logs.

The good news: Search button remapping works now

The bad news: The keylayouts are an absolute mess.

The good news: I threw all of the old keylayout mess to the bin and made a shiny new one

The bad news: I'm not sure if I'll have time to upload a new build

The good news: I'll update the recoveries

    A few notes

    • Always use the latest 4ext recovery. TWRP seems to trigger an emmc controller bug in some devices
    • Feel free to contribute on our gerrit :highfive:
