LED me know on DesireS?

Hello p0w4p0ty,

You are developing LED me know further? I would like to use the app, but it does not work on the DesireS. Can you LED me know maybe adapt to the DesireS?

regards

    Hi,

Here is a new app to choose led color and frequency for gmail, SMS, missed calls, battery and disk space notifications. You can also configure a notification for the notification toolbar (ringtone and vibration) for your gmail inbox.

This is a BETA version for HTC DESIRE. I will hopefully add support other devices on future updates.

You would need to disable stock led notifications from home/menu/settings/display/notification flash and gmail notifications from gmail app/menu/more/settings

Feedback and bug reports are always welcome :)

    Hi,

I'll try to explain what is the problem.
This is my first app on Android so I've been learning android programming at the development time. This obviously cause that many things could be improved and with this update I'd decided to start over and get it done better as long as include core changes in order to add most of the feature request I'd collected. I should be gradually updated it with minor changes but I didn't and I did not anticipate I'll have this charge of 'real work' on these longs days, this was my fault...
Anyway I'm still working on it, sorry guys for the long wait, I just hope it's worths it...

PS: some good news to end with
*SPOILER* MAYBE I'm able to configure EVERY notification on next update (MAYBE :p)

    FYI: 63856 total - 18945 active installs (29%) 05/03/2011 Not even close to 50k :p

    ...I'm panicking...
First test on real gingerbread device (Desire HD) and I realized that brightness files permissions has changed and they are no more writables  so there is no way the app could light up 'non-regular' leds if there is not root permission...

I need help to identify which devices/roms has changed these permissions so here is a pre-release (obviously full of bugs :p) with an option (LEDs manager) that will allow you to turn on/off those detecteds leds if you have enough privileges, please test it with and without root and let me know... ;)

    looking forward to your feedback!
    Thank you all!

PS: Please note that this is not a final version. There are many other functionalities that will be availables on the final version (custom vibration pattern, night mode...etc) but are not ready yet so they are not included in this pre-release

Led me know 2.0 is good!!!with some pb..

I've found this app recently and i really like it! Thank you! I have a suggestion:
Facebook for android was updated today, with a new push notification system (works great for what i've seen until now)! But on my desire the led on facebook notification is blue and does not blink. Is it possible to add a facebook profile to this app so we can override this native application bug?
New apps will be added, Facebook and skype for sure but I can't tell you how soon :p

It is a pity that does not work on oxygen :(
Please make it work on Oxygen 2.0 Gingerbread... or if not tell us why it doesnt work.. :(
Sorry but I'm trying to get it working on as many roms/devices I can...In some cases seems to be a 'rom fault' but I'm still working on it...
It'd be nice if some oxygen user could help me to run tests on it ;)

    Hello!

Thanks again for this fantastic app, raised ur thank meter a bit ^^

BTW, is it possible to "remove/hide" for the notifications lists, the apps that have NOT been ticked on the "parameters" page?
    - As the number of apps will increase, i do not see interest of having to scroll down to tweak just one or two apps...
I'm thinking about to change the UI and make some kind of herarchical menu (like mail > gmail, htc, k9...etc)
Another future feature request, which would make this app completely perfect to me: Would it be possible to build in a feature like in k-9 mail, to temporary disable all notification (including LED) during night? It would be great if we could schedule the timeframe to disable them all. I have my HD2 next to my bed in a desk charger, as alarm clock, but the LED is so bright when it's blinking green that it would be great if I could temporary disable it. I love free software, but I'm willing to pay for such functionality if required.

I gave k-9 mail a try last week and can confirm notifications with k-9 mail, as pointed out by another user at this thread, don't work. I tried just about everything, but I didn't get it to work with LED me now.

    Sincerely,
    Mac
    maybe on future updates :)

Sorry about the delay... I'm having really busy days :(
